There is no intelligent reason to make Romo play Sunday

I also just plain like the idea of seeing Weeden get some more snaps and confidence. If Romo does go down in the playoffs, that could come in handy.

It is a football game, so the odds are that some player or players will get hurt. Only question is who, and how bad.

Considering the opponent and the situation, Romo will be even more of a target than usual.

If he does play, we must be feeling lucky.

Seattle and Arizona both losing is a very real possibility. 49ers will likely beat Arizona and St. Louis is coming off a tough loss after a good streak of playing very well and would like nothing better than to spoil some pf their division rivals thunder by putting a L on them.

I think they have to play and to win. A bye is THAT important.

They don't have to win. It boggles my mind how many ppl don't understand this. If 9ers and rams wins, we could still lose and get the 2 seed

The dude has been in the league since 2003 and has been starting games since 2006. The idea that a grizzled veteran like him can't take a game off to keep his momentum going is frankly idiotic. Risking your franchise QB with a bad back in a meaningless game is insane. Full stop.

Sure. Its called routine. Players need to compete. He doesn't have to play the entire game. But he should believe he is going to and prepare like he is going to. Then let him play a half.

Breaking up the routine is playing with fire. You can't play not lose. YOU PLAY TO WIN.

I'm trying to find stats about teams coming off a bye. Maybe you can help?

I think Garrett is going to go for the win and play 'em like any other week. It's a gamble on his part. I wonder what Jerry thinks about it?

I thought I heard jerri say he would go for the win but I'd need an interpreter to confirm whether I understood his rambling nonsense correctly

Players look forward to bye weeks. How is this any different?

Go back to 2007 and see what resting our starters did. You play this game one week at a time. Forget the post season. You need momentum going into the post season. How do you think the Colts are feeling right now after getting spanked? Not very good. Take this game one week at a time.

Its a gamble on Garrett's part but that's what coaching is about. Guys can get hurt any time. They can get hurt in the 1st round. Then what?

do you realize in your scenario that the Cowboys would get the bye even if they lost to the Commanders?

Not meaningless when we can move up in seedings.

9ers and rams win. That causes a 2 way tie for the 2 seed between us and seattle. We would both have 11 wins(we already have 11 wins). We beat seattle. We get 2 seed plain and simple.

Ah....i thought non division went to conference record first...i stand corrected.

Dont play...at least...not anyone we can afford to lose.
