There were signs of Cowboys Cupcake for 30 years incoming

Let's be honest. Most of us, myself included, are happy to collect a paycheck and do a respectable amount of work. Look at all you posting on CZ while you're supposed to be at work. Dak was a 4th rd pick and he's turned himself into one of the top 10 QBs in the league and one of the highest paid in league history. I'm sure he's fine with that.

There are very few people, in any field, that are obsessed with being the best.
It's a holiday today brother.

We don't see character and passion like this in the NFL anymore in general. Maybe there's a player or two that tries to fire up their team, but for the most part it's all about glamour and fame and money now. Now one really cares about winning. It's just about doing barely enough to secure the next pay day. Especially with the Cowboys because our owner loves the cameras and the lights and he encourages his players to like it too.
This.
This though is why people love players like Scattabo. What made Ferg so likeable early on was his attitude on the field.

NFL has neutered the players with fines.

Dakota likes comfort. Southern comfort. This would cause discomfort for him and his teammates. They like to pat each other on the *** and point at themselves and say “my bad”. What you see from Troy is a 3X Super Bowl winner. Dakota cannot hold the jockstrap of Troy Aikman.

I miss Troy - I feel lucky I was a kid when all this was going on so I could fully enjoy it like a kid/teen would.

2 things
1. Dear Dak, this is what “pissed” looks like.
2. It’s funny how the HOF QB was complaining about the coach and accountability and 30 years later nothing has changed.

This was not during our winning days. So this did not translate to wins. When Jimmy was there, Troy did not have to do that. Giving him credit for this is ridiculous.
So Troy shouldn't have tried to be a leader then? Is that what you are trying to say here?

Thats the whole point.
That Jimmy wasn't there and that Troy had to step his leadership role up because of Jimmys absence and Switzer's lack of discipline.

Now as to nowadays and Dak ever showing a similar type of rant towards No Schott...

Well, lets just say its probably more likely you hit all the PowerBall numbers.
Dak is gonna do what Jerry says. And that's Jerry's handpicked coach so Dak ain't about to cause no friction.

Dak's too busy with the deer in the headlights look to say anything. The Cowboys had leaders back Then.

They have no leaders today.
And here I am thinking I was the only one to notice...I can usually predict how well the game will go based off how Dak's eyes look when the game starts. Ive been right way to many times.....the deer in the headlights look tells me all I need to see.

I remember as a kid in the 70's my entire family living and breathing Cowboys on Sundays it was mayhem. I didn't love football yet, but the seed was planted. I remember hearing, "Lets go, Too Tall, Captain Crunch, Roger the Dodger, ETC.. Then the 90's came and I was ready to be on the bandwagon and old enough to understand.

My take is that our Cowboys are an example of what entitlement looks like. The players are young enough to have been raised with two working parents, or in some of their cases, one parent and didn't get the hard core discipline that many in my generation got. When i messed up at home my dad would spank my Butt with fishing pole, and he didn't put up with nothing. My mother would lose it and slap me, and I deserved it... Wasn't abuse, I knew they loved me and they showed it... I also remember getting my weekly licks in Junior High even when I didn't do what I was accused of... I remember riding my bmx bikes over small canyons to be like evil kenevil... We were all so tough back then for the most part.... Our Cowboys are like the kid that can't function in gym class with tapped up glasses.. No heart.. It is what it is, I'm here for the Circus... I tried liking the Chiefs since that was my grandpas team, but couldn't do it at the end of the day...

You’ve got to be able to walk the walk if you’re going to talk the talk. This will never work with Dink. He and Troy are two different warriors and it ain’t close!

There is one guy…. His name is Mahomes. And he gets the results he gets and elevates his teammates each and every week

This video was from 1997 when we went 6-10. This was not inspirational leadership. This was Troy whining that he had poor coaching.

Welcome to Dak's world. Troy could not handle what Dak has gone through.

This was Troy vs. Barry Switzer peak. Keep in mind this was a preseason game in 1997.

And Aikman was spot on right because the team crumbled to a 6-10 record that year.
