There's only one realistic solution - at least that I can think of

we are never going to be in position to draft a stud QB..not an elite one..like a top 10 pick..

finding 1 elsewhere in the draft is possible..but its difficult

Aaron Rodgers? You never know how a draft will play out until it's over.

like i said, its possible..but difficult

id feel a lot better about just Ditka'ng our draft for Andrew Luck...than relying on an Aaron Rodgers scenario

romo has to be a busdriver or we will NEVER WIN...think ravens...great d ok O

Thats a foolish notion. Unless you have 2000 Ravens D, Romo will be the reason Cowboys win and sometimes lose like today. Unfortunately, he is the reason Cowboys won two games and lost two games.

But both loses are devastating losses, and hence even pretty good Romo supporters are doubting or jumping off bandwagon.

This is not matter of the record or the options cowboys have. Its a matter of how the losses have come. Romo has been both the best player and worst player on Offense in both losses. And thats the frustrating thing about Romo

I don't know that I would pull a Ditka. I still think you have to wait and see how the draft plays out. So many teams have young QB's that it seems likely that a good prospect may fall in the draft. I'd rather see how things pan out before offering a kings ransom for one player.

If anyone can figure out a realistic scenario in which we can upgrade our QB position - Im all ears..but I dont see a way in which we can

In my opinion, the biggest problem with this team is shortening games..we are a much better team playing from behind than we are playing ahead..

This team needs a dominant run game..I believe we need a new running back and I also believe we need some new linemen..

I know many people will moan and complain that JG doesnt call enough run plays, even when it is working..but I dont think Garrett has enough confidence in the run game to stick with it..

If this team can somehow develop a power running game - I fully believe Garrett is smart enough to change his ways..

I honestly believe our 1st round pick needs to be on a running back...if not on a running back, then on a MAULING guard..maybe that kid from UGA..Cordy Glenn

The solution will be if Romo keeps costing us games Dallas will look to replace him.

If there is someone in the 1st round worth taking im sure the Cowboys will be all over it.

If Romo does something in the post season than his job will be safe.

so your opinion is we need to take an OL in the 1st round? most likely a guard..is that correct?

Difficult, yes... but, history (recent or not) shows plenty of examples to counter this... Just because it is difficult, doesn't mean you shouldn' try...

Tom Brady - pick 199
Aaron Rogers - pick 24
Joe Flacco - pick 18
Dan Marino - pick 27
Joe Montana - pick 82
Steve Young - Supplemental draft
Warren Moon - Undrafted

We have way too many holes to give up an entire draft for one player. How'd that work out for the Saints.

so you guys would rather change everything around the problem rather than the problem itself?

i thought we already made this team "romo friendly". quit babying this loser. :bang2:

offense was good, offense scored 30 pts. TONY ROMO needs to understand if the play isnt there it ok to punt and lean on your defense.

JG needs to undertand that first and know what Romo's tendencies are in those situations. JG need to call a "safer" game so that his QB has less chance of making those boneheaded plays.

This offense is till making dumb mistakes even by the vets (Romo, Felix on the last play). This is all on JG. This team is still unprepared as it was with Wade. They may be playing harder but the stupidity still exists.

Who was the "architect" behind that "romo friendly" offense? Romo should be blamed but JG should be equally blamed if not more.

I clearly said..if you can come up with a realistic way to upgrade at QB I would listen..I dont see it happening..we need a top 10 pick to do so

I am still pushing my idea about using Jon Kitna as a "closer"...just like baseball.

Romo has a lead like today, up 27-3 and in comes the closer to protect the ball, use good judgement and take the game to completion.

I think I'm only kidding.

Maybe.

Not drafting a running back or guard in the first round, too high and other than Luck, there's a huge drop off at the QB position this year, we need a shut down man corner or two.

anyone catch Jerry trying to grab Romo by the arm to say something on the sideline and Romo shrugging him off and kept walking away from Jerry, as if to say, bleep you jerry

you can have every shutdown CB in the draft...we still lose today

Matt Lienhart, David Carr etc etc....

Selling the farm for a college prospect is not a good strategy regardless of who the player is.

first we need to realize franchise qbs do not grow on trees, so getting one will not be cheap.

if we come out of this bye flat and lose a couple of games. i would tank the rest of the season to get that first spot.

we need a franchise qb desperately. the fact Luck is from Texas makes me want him more. he will know coming in the expectations of a Cowboys qb.

if that is not possible look at RG3...his pre draft wkouts will be important.

this will put pressure on our scouts and coaches to find gems in FA for other holes on the team b/c we will be forced to give up some draft picks for these guys.

Luck is as close to sure thing as they come. best qb prospect since Manning.

exactly my point..theres a very good chance we wont be able to draft a QB...then whats our plan of action?

Fantasy football bro

Jerry Jones is commited to Romo as he should be. I can almost guarantee we wont be drafting a QB high for the next three years.
