These drafts simulations can be a bit unrealistic!

I just did a mock simulation on PFN which would be outstanding, but in my opinion, totally unrealistic:

1-J. Johnson DE Florida State
2-Zion Johnson G BC
3-Travis Jones DT UCONN
4-Jake Ferguson TE Wisconsin
4a-Calvin Austin III WR Memphis (Traded up using our 5th's and future 5)
6-Bubba Bolden S Miami

It's fun to do these simulations, but they tend to be a bit unrealistic.

I agree, but I have seen times that one guy was thought to be gone in the 1st and ends up being picked in the 5th.
While they are somewhat unrealistic, you never know who is going to drop.

Agreed…but on a positive note I don’t think any of us saw Lamb falling.

I feel really confident a stud will fall to 24…just hope the Cowboys make the right pick.

Definitely shaping up to have good quality at 24

It is still early.
Some of these sites rankings will change after the combine and as the draft approaches.
Even with that they can be unrealistic for some players because different people rank different players with a wide range at times.

It may seem unrealistic, but, in this very forum, there will end up being 50 players who have no shot at being available at the 24th pick. It happens every year.

Yes....those simulators are in good fun but are very unrealistic.

It's why we should have some sort of place for everyone to drop the never-ending simulator mock drafts into, instead of creating a new thread for every one of them.

Agreed and I know many here hate the posting of these random unrealistic drafts - but I find it very enjoyable. Just ran this one on PFF - would love if it fell this way:

1. Tyler Linderbaum - C - Iowa - Huge upgrade on Oline
2. Travis Jones - DT - Conn. - The big DT we have been waiting on
3. Dameon Pierce - RB - Florida - The next great RB in Dallas
4. Troy Andersen - LB - Montana State - Untapped potential - has played QB before moving to LB. Made plays everywhere last year
5. Calvin Austin III - WR - Memphis - Take the top of the D WR
5. Jake Ferguson - TE - Wisc - Schultz replacement
6. Justin Shaffer - G - Georgia - Could be LG as early as next year.

I like it and the players overall but I feel there’s got to be a pass rusher in there somewhere. I think either Lawrence, Gregory, or both are gone in 2022.

I think they run in back with Tank for 1 more year and will resign Gregory at a more reasonable deal than many think.

At the very least, 1 will be back and a FA will be signed.

My guess is Cooper is traded and Tank is kept at a reduced cap hit.

The fun of mock drafts is to see who could possibly be available at your pick. They appeal to fantasy.
Who wants to see mock drafts with the same players being chosen in every mock draft, unless you pick No. 1 overall and there's a franchise quarterback on the board?
Draft simulators, no matter how unrealistic, serve this very purpose, i.e., appeal to the fantasy interests of fans.
I'm a Cowboys fan to this day because inexplicably the Seattle Seahawks traded their 1st round pick (2nd overall) to the Cowboys for Tony Dorsett.
If I had been paying attention to mock drafts back then, I would have been thrilled to see such a mock projection.

Thats really optimistic.
