Parsons needs to learn how to be a team player. I don't give a damn that you don't want to play LB.

Lol. What were his stats in elimination playoff game? Trash. Your star player gonna do nothing? You want pay him 35 million for that?
You don't know what you're talking about because you don't understand that good teams know how to scheme against a passrusher.

I don't care if they trade him, your reasoning is just stupid. Why would another team trade for him if he has all these flaws? It's stupid logic.

They won’t trade him. We know that. Smart team would. Trade him to afc for 3-4 High picks. Get lb, dt, de from those picks. Cheap players for next 4 years.

You are delusional if you think that he has all of these flaws to his game and is going to collect "3-4 high picks." Why would another team do that AND give him $30+m?

It makes no sense.

Cause like you a lot teams love “rushing and pressure”. That probably works on a team with great lb play. Teams will trade for him. I’ll take 1st and 2nd this year and 2nd next year

We are horrible lb. Can’t afford small undersized de that can’t seal Edge. Unless we are going to be aggressive and sign real lb and dt which jerry will say can’t as no cap space.

not big enough be all around de. And not good enough be lb. Smart move is to trade him before you pay him 35 a year and cripple team for next 5 years.

He doesn’t do dirty work. Just wants flashy plays. I need less sacks and better all around plays
Which is why he's second team all pro

DQ in the past two years has failed IMO lining up Micah primarily at End. They need to figure out how to move him all over the field and maximize his skills. 13 and 14 sacks is admirable for a DE but to truly maximize this kid we need more. 34 OLB, Middle LB, something has to change. His rookie year and at Penn St he was a tackling, play making machine. And while he leads the league in pressures still, we’re not maximizing everything he can really do.

Look at his tackles this year for instance. Very low numbers. No Int’s in his career either. If the pundits want to compare him to LT, start using him like LT already!
Except he is not LT, he’s a very good player who shows up at the beginning of a year and dies out at the halfway point of a season.
the defense should not be built around him, they need to get bigger LB’s that can help with run defense.

As for our corners they are ballhawks, but if they don’t get an interception they are dead in the water as their cover skills are substandard.

As for Parsons… if he could play on the same level as he runs his mouth… he’d be a much better player

You dont build a defense around a one trick pony pass rusher who is after stats and disappears in the most important games

Hes no LT

Im not paying him 30 million per
I would trade him to Quinn if he becomes HC

Build a real defense with stout DL, LBs and safeties not the crap that Quinn rolls out

Of course Jerry will pay him and all jerry apologists will say “well what else could he have done?”

I've always been on the side of playing Parsons as a MLB/Situational Pass Rusher because it's best for team. Since Parsons has arrived the FO has shown they can not get a proper LB or pieces around Micah to allow him to play DE exclusively. Micah is the best MLB and pass rusher on the team, so let him split time at both.

#11 playing DE is to the detriment of the LB group as we've watch for 2 years.

Your vision of a defense is a bad defense. The Lions are everything you are asking for, and their defense sucks.

Yes sir. And the people want to trade our best player around here are hilarious. You don’t get better by trading your best players, you get better by utilizing their talents.

The Cowboys have weak DT's and LB's. Fix that and watch how dominant he is.

It isn't that complicated.
1000x this but the challenge is going to be if they pay dak and ceedee and micha they just won't have a ton left for FA if any...plus they have no 4 5 6 this year before comp picks so it's looking really lean being able to address both lines and the LBs and a RB

Parsons is the reason why I was hoping BB would be the next coach. Instead of primarily using him as an undersized DE, I think Bill would have figured out how to use him as the ultimate chess piece.

Oh well.

We will likely get Quinn back and he will introduce us to the first 190 LB since the 1950s.

its very complicated for the people who parrot.

Unfortunately, for this player i agree with trading because Dallas is 5 years out of being a legit force, we re just wasting his career.

Move him to MLB where he belongs and get some pass rushing pocket collapsing DE's and DT's.

We're doing to Parsons what we did to Ratliff, playing him out of position just to get a few sacks, even though it caused inherent weaknesses.
