They need to look at the breaking the plane rule

Not saying it wasn’t just the player should have to retain control of the ball.
He had control. You pass the plain, it’s a TD. One of the simplest basic rules in all of football and it does not need to be screwed with. That was a touchdown, clear as day.

Yes he broke the plane, wish they let the play progress though in case he didn't break it.
That's my take on it too. The whistle blew the play dead, so it's a TD even if replay showed he hadn't broken the plane.

The play that upset me was the Cooper fumble, forward progress had been stopped.

dallas gets bamboozled on that more than bad/good calls. refs always quick to blow the whistle on forward progress for our opponents. that has a little bit to do with why we get so few turnovers.

and amend it to say the player must retain control of the ball until the end of the play. That Barkley TD was too close to call.

A problem with the "going to the ground rule". You can break the plane while in control of the ball, but it's not a td until you're done rolling on the ground.

People say they hated the "going to the ground" rule (they really just didn't understand it when we didn't benefit, honestly) and now want to bring it back for running players at the goal line. Make up your minds.

The ball broke the plane. It was close like the announcer said (which fuels the CONSPIRACY! talk), but he was over.

No, that rule has been unchanged for a reason. Once you break the plane and you have control, it’s a TD.

Vrs the butch Johnson rule in Super Bowl vrs denver

I just don't want to see the replay a million times, "did you see barkley's amazing leap", much like the odell 1 handed catch a few years back. Both games resulted in a Giant LOSS.

Giants are good at highlight reel plays against us IN LOSING EFFORTS!

Would have been a sick play had Thomas returned it for six the other way. Its a game of inches, I guess.

I don’t think we need to fix something that really isn’t broken.....It didn’t our way but that’s no reason to change the rule

They'll make that change when they start making defensive players count to three Mississippi before rushing the passer.

It was 2 inches. He got the play. And it pissed me off. Was hoping we knocked it out and ruined his good time...

I say he fumbled a trilli-second before the ball touched the plane and you all are just a bunch of dirty raaaaaatss....:p

If that were Zeke it would have been a fumble and 6 game suspension

I will maintain....too my dying day... that he fumbled that.
our ball...way down the field.
the ball broke the plain but was out of his hand.
fumble.
It will always burn deep.
