they need to make felix jones the starter

No, they are scared that Felix will break after getting hit 40 times a game.

Why do they need to? What difference does it make?

Were you clamoring for MB3 to start when Julius was here?

All that matters is how many touches the guys get and when.

Sneak Felix in the game and let him do his thing.

its just to piss u off..............

they are going with experience , durability and proven commodity.......

Felix Jones will see his carries go up as the year progresses, imo.

He'll get his 12-15 carries per game, carries.

if he stays healthy

*crosses fingers*

*prays to god*

You start the guy thats proven himself and you just paid a starter contract to to do just as the contract implies start and be the main workhorse

Felix is great but to throw barber to the side and start him when he hasn't even played half a season yet is ********

people really need to learn to slow down and appreciate what we already have and stop looking to push whats there out the door and looking for the next big thing work it in slowly behind the talent we already have

As long as Felix is on the field and involved in the offense I will be happy. If they use him as sparingly during the season as they did last year or during the preseason I am going to be left scratching my head in amazement.

I wouldn't start Felix over Barber.

Felix must get the majority of the carries and will as the year passes on. Our offense is full of long guys that are stiff in the hips and not very good getting in and out of cuts. This is the reason the Rookie wide receiver looks great to us and why Romo has been looking for him.

Felix is the only guy on our team who can take it all the way on any and every single play. this will make other teams play us more honest than when MB3 is on the field. Without jones there will be 8 men in the box on every play with blitzes coming after Romo forcing him to get rid of the ball quickly to stiff wr's who cant run past their defenders.

There will be a huge difference this year when Jones is on the field and when Barber is on the field. Can someone please track the yards per play when each is on the field?

I'd start both of them. Barber at the FB spot (Barber is a classic FB from yesteryear anyway) and Felix at the HB spot. From there he can split wide or move to the slot. I am still waiting for the Cowboys to line up 2 TEs on the same side and pitch or throw to Felix on the weakside_talk about room to roam.

Start both of them I say.

I agree, start Felix give him 15-20 carries per game, mix in Choice and let MB close the games. If I remember we were 13-3 with that philosophy in '07. Barber could not carry the load last year as a starter, he was gassed in the 4th, he had nothing. Make him the highest paid closer in NFL history because he's worth it and closing games would be worth every penny to the Dallas Cowboys.
