I have a Lodge meeting tonight so I'm going to miss the first half. Thank God for DVRs, but it's just not the same.

Fixed it for you.

Hey, don't look now, but there is no team that has beaten the Commanders more than the Cowboys since they joined the NFL. There is no team that the Cowboys have beaten more than the Commanders. In our house we're pretty close to dominant in the series, winning 72% of the time. Hell, we've even got a winning record in your house. We've not trailed you at the end of any decade as far as wins and losses for that decade. We're not trailing you this one either.

Do you want to know why you're here spewing this on a Cowboys forum? It's real simple, you know you're standing in the shadow we cast, you're shivering from the cold, and therefore clearly out of your mind.

Get's? As in get is? Never heard of it. Class dismissed.
You really owned him way to go Professor Hos.

If you slobbered over Cowboys players as much as you do over the players of any and every other team you wouldn't have to spend so much time arguing with Cowboys fans. At a time like this your constant bickering is out of place. The reality is that the Cowboys are 6-1. Either enjoy the ride or disappear like the other realists.
Good post and as 5Stars said spoken like a true fan. Even if the Cowboys lose tonight to the Skins the best part is that they will get to play them again and will also say that if the Cowboys hit on all cylinders as they have in the last six game on offense and defense like they have in the last 6 games then the Skins are in for a long night.

Are they mathematically dead? Of course not. However, they're a bad football team and they're NOT making the playoffs. Can they beat us tonight? Of course. Any team can beat any other team in the NFL. Not one person on here has said Washington doesn't have a chance. However, if we play well and do not turn the ball over, we win.

The Commanders record points to them being a bad team but they've been competitive in several games they lost and the Cowboys have had to come from behind in 4 of their 6 wins. The Commanders were a worst team last season and almost knocked the Cowboys off in week 16 which would have ended their playoff chances. The Cowboys were a bad team this summer but look how their fortunes have suddenly changed. After an 0-4 preseason and their opening day loss at home to SF the odds of them rebounding to win 6 straight including a win in Seattle and to end up on top of the NFC East and most of the NFL power rankings were more unlikely than the odds that Washington will rebound from their 2-5 start to get back into contention. The Texans started off 2-0 last season what were the odds they would lose their next 14 straight games? What were the odds the 2011 Giants would rebound from 7-7 to win the NFC East and the SB? They were 8 minutes away from being virtually done down by 12 points to the Cowboys in week 14 but ended up beating some very long odds.

I've been following the NFL and the Cowboys long enough to know you never take any team or game for granted. Being only 7 games into the season anything can still happen fortunes for teams can change suddenly due to injury or bad breaks. If Washington were to pull off the upset tonight which is not out of the realm of possibility and move to 3-5 and get RG3 back next week it might be enough to turn the Commanders season around. It's not likely it's highly unlikely but you can never completely rule it out because this is the NFL. With 9 games left the Cowboys have a lot of work left ahead of them because 6 wins, 7 wins, 8 wins, 9 wins and maybe even 10 wins may not be enough for them to make the playoffs. We've seen 10 and 11 win teams miss the playoffs. Even though the Commanders look dead they can still have a big affect on the Cowboys season if they knock them off tonight.

By the time the Cowboys face them later in the season they probably won't have anything to lose and would love nothing better than to play spoiler which is why the Cowboys have to take these games against down and practically out teams seriously. An upset loss tonight could come back to haunt the Cowboys and help cost them a playoff spot, the division title or the #1 seed. I expect the Cowboys to win tonight but this is an important game that can go a long way in determining where they end up at the end of the season. All it takes in these type of games is an early turnover and a busted coverage to find yourself down by 14 points scrambling to come back in the 4th quarter so the Cowboys have to be focused tonight and win a game they're suppose to win.

The NFL wants parity in order to better sell the product. The difference between winning and losing is very small so you can't give an underdog a chance.
