They took away the headphone jack

It'll come packed with a 3.5mm to lightning adapter I believe.

It still kinda pisses me off though.
 
It is a move towards all bluetooth accessories. They clearly envision the iPhone being your "hub" in the future - meaning you take your phone and it contains your keys to unlock your house, start your car, change the temperature in your house, play your music, pay at a restaurant, summon a cab. iPhone 7S will introduce wireless charging.
 
Wasn't this rumored for forever?
 
man, I go through those Iphone ear buds like toilet paper, I hope the wireless earbuds are good, I love not having to be connected to the phone anymore

I can't remember the last time I've used wired headphones/ear buds. I've got some decent Bluetooth ear buds for about $20. Their sound is comparable to wired earbuds priced accordingly (which is to say barely okay). I've got some higher priced ones that sound pretty good. Not having a headphone jack is no big deal with me.

Regardless, I'm talking about just the earbuds, not some huge headphones like Dre's Beats. I want something small and inconspicous for walking/running and I haven't seen anything that isn't super expensive or bulky so I suspect what I want isn't coming with the Iphone 7 but I was hoping that was part of the surprise

My panties remain firmly unbunched, just stating facts. There have been wireless headphones that aren't over-ear (like Dre Beats) for ages.

If you're looking for an option that isn't super expensive, the AirPods aren't the answer at $160 either as wireless is generally pricey if you're looking for quality.

I mean if you want them, you want them - I'm just saying let's not pretend Apple invented wireless earbuds.

lol relax man, I wasn't trying to imply Apple invented earbuds, I was hoping they had come out with a new innovation that was priced reasonably and reliable since they were doing away with the jack but it sounds like they're just made the earphones use the same port where its charged from.

Are you an Apple hater because you come across pretty intense over such an inane topic

I'm an Android man too, but I'm pretty sure the next generation phones are going to do away with the jack as well.
 
well, looks like they did come out with their own wireless earbuds but they aint cheap and it looks like Id lose them in no time. I gotta wonder how well they stay in your ears too

Saw these too, nearly the same price as powerbeats 2. I wonder what the sound quality is like. There are some nice features like wireless charging...
