Draft picks obviously.

Kris Richard (pseudo-DCoordinator) in his 2nd year with the Cowboys. Coaches rarely get new schemes fully implemented in their 1st year with a new team.

Kellen Moore (OCoordinator) 1st year as OC but with the team since 2015.

I'm interested to see any players that did not play much or at all for the Cowboys last season.

Darian Thompson is an interesting depth guy. He started 16 games in 2017 for the Giants at FS but he projects better to SS.

Cedrick Wilson is a player I liked in the draft. I had him and Gallup as 2 of the top 3 route runners in that draft.

WR Devin Smith. Injuries have severely limited his chances to play up to this point. A 2nd round pick by the Jets in 2015. Had 30 TDs in college. Draft analysts called him the best deep threat in that draft.

Iloka at SS in the Kris Richard scheme. He is a physical clone of Kam Chancellor. He played mostly FS in his career but seems to project better to SS.

Hyder in the Cowboys scheme will be interesting. He had a great year when he last played in a 4-3 (2016).

Randall Cobb was one of my favorite non-Cowboys players at one time.

Can Tavon Austin stay healthy?

How does Frederick look after his illness?

Connor Williams progress is probably interesting to everyone. I'm curious if they have him take some practice snaps at OT.

Covington the DT is interesting. He looked really good in Texans game footage. He projects as a better fit in the Cowboys 4-3 than the Texans 3-4 (same situation when they signed T.McClain from the Texans a few years ago).

Covington the LB appears to be the best fit at SLB (other than moving Jaylon there in 3 LB sets). He was expected to have a slow start in the NFL because he was originally a QB in college. After an ACL injury he moved to LB where he played well. He was considered very raw as a draft prospect due his limited experience at LB. I thought he looked better physically than the now departed Damien Wilson.

Quinn will be interesting but his game is already well established on 'film" so there shouldn't be many surprises.

Noah Brown is an interesting player. He is the best blocking WR (college and pro) that I've seen. He wins blocks against LBs on a regular basis. He'll have to become more fluid as a receiver to keep his roster spot.

All of the young TEs are interesting.

DE Armstrong did some good things last year. Can he build on that? They'll probably draft another DE at some point in the draft.

What happens with CB Lewis? I would give him some snaps at FS. His tackling is way above average as a CB.

They liked OL Parker Ehinger enough to trade for him. He played LT as a Senior and OG/RT previous years.

Any young OT will be interesting to see because they lack depth.

Taco has talent. Just needs to get his head right with ball.

Olawale at RB.

All back 7 players in the 2nd year in the Kris Richard scheme. Jones, Brown, Awuzie, VE, Jaylon, Woods. Will Heath compete will Woods at FS or Iloka/draft-pick at SS. Who plays SLB? How do they use Lee (backup or WLB in 3 LBs sets with Jaylon at SLB).

Will Randy Gregory return? Marinelli loves his abilities, approach to the game, his work-ethic when at the facility and the fact that he came to camp in great physical condition last year.

I wonder if they look at Brown as a move TE if they dont land one in the draft

i want the roster to be full for competition. I want tons ad tons of competition, especially for Lee and Witten.

i want to see more RBs playing and not just all zeke all the time.

I want to see A Cooper make this is WR corp.

I want to see the depth taken more seriously, especially at back up QB.

I want a new offensive scheme being put in place.

I want Dak to own this team, front to back. knows hes going lead them to the SB.

In TC, I want to see the starters in preseason games play longer and see more snaps. So come game 1, they aren't so rusty. Well games 1 to 3.

OTA's and mini camps, I just want to see what Moore shows as OC. I know we won't see a lot nor will they show a lot. But I want to see what they do show, they improve from each one.

As a full time TE I think Brown would lose his uniqueness. He would just be an undersized TE.

He can and has performed some of the Move-TE functions.

In the final regular season game the offense looked much different. Speculation is that Kellen Moore implemented that game plan.

In that game they did a lot of motion with Brown. Defenses know that Brown motioning down by the line usually means it's a run. In that last game the Cowboys appeared to use Brown's motion to see how the Giant's defense would react and/or to specifically get a LB to move off his spot.

I would reduce the practice reps and increase the game reps for starters in the pre-season.

I'd like to see our pass rush become something that this team and its fans have only dreamed of in the past.

I want the see the arrival of a newcomer at quarterback having the promise that just needs to be developed.

I'd really like to see our offensive line revert back to the one that had dominated defenses a few years back.

Rather than critique every individual player for me. I want to see some innovation on offense. I want to see the defense play as one. I only have two positions of Interest running back and defensive tackle.

I believe in Prescott. I would also draft a quarterback every single season in the late rounds. You don't know what you're going to get. And then you can have him for trade bait if he pans out.

I think Rush will lose his job this training camp and might not even make the roster. I usually only like to keep 2 QBs and use that extra spot on defense.
Cooper Rush reminds me of Nick Foles a little bit worse a lollipop put the ball up for grabs quarterback

I believe it was against the Falcons two seasons ago Prescott score a touchdown head over heels in the endzone. For me that's when he took over this offense. From the first snap until the last snap everything else in between I like to call football. I want to know how you perform when you have the ball in your hands last. Are you a winner or do you choke this team has 13 4th quarter comebacks. In the last 3 Seasons this is not the same old Cowboys for me

Good list, @xwalker .... Very comprehensive.

I want to see some evidence of a less predictable, more innovative offense - no huddle, more WR motion, etc

I want to see how both the OL and DL 2nd teamer's play-out.

I want to see a legitimate back-up RB.

I want to see how the DB well.

Nice write up Walker !
Would like to see most of what you put in the OP. Of particular note, Covington's - both the LBer and the DT. The LBer had a somewhat quiet first year, was supposed to be a ST demon. Will he mature into the strong side backer, or stay on ST/depth. The DT, hope they can use him correctly, of any position on this team, I have the least amount of faith In the coaching staff about how they use our DTs both the 3 and the 1. Covington and a draft pick (2nd or 3rd) and used properly and it's a completely different front.
The biggest one overall is of course Dak, he's going to get paid. Has he taken any steps to correct some of his deficiencies over the off-season. I get hes a leader with rare intangibles, but he needs work on his craft. If he comes in, and looks just the same as last year - uh oh !
The other two for me are Armstrong DE, they debated moving up for him in the draft, took the WR in 3rd instead and still got him in the 4th - they liked him a lot. What does he have in year 2. And lastly, Williams. Loved hearing he has beefed up in the weight room. Let's see if he is now a fulltime guard Or is he still maybe the future RT after Collins moves on. My hope is he now locks down LG.
Will be a very interesting camp, if they are going to take that " next step". We should see improvement in camp.
