Worry not about Frederick. The beard will not fail. Here is my projection for him in the 2019 season:

I really was hoping we would sign a vet backup for some competition at the very least behind Dak. My guy was Gilbert from the AAF but I saw he got snapped up by Cleveland. I think he would have been a good fit behind Dak. Similar size, has some mobility...could run the same offense.

Draft picks obviously.

Kris Richard (pseudo-DCoordinator) in his 2nd year with the Cowboys. Coaches rarely get new schemes fully implemented in their 1st year with a new team.

Kellen Moore (OCoordinator) 1st year as OC but with the team since 2015.

I'm interested to see any players that did not play much or at all for the Cowboys last season.

Darian Thompson is an interesting depth guy. He started 16 games in 2017 for the Giants at FS but he projects better to SS.

Cedrick Wilson is a player I liked in the draft. I had him and Gallup as 2 of the top 3 route runners in that draft.

WR Devin Smith. Injuries have severely limited his chances to play up to this point. A 2nd round pick by the Jets in 2015. Had 30 TDs in college. Draft analysts called him the best deep threat in that draft.

Iloka at SS in the Kris Richard scheme. He is a physical clone of Kam Chancellor. He played mostly FS in his career but seems to project better to SS.

Hyder in the Cowboys scheme will be interesting. He had a great year when he last played in a 4-3 (2016).

Randall Cobb was one of my favorite non-Cowboys players at one time.

Can Tavon Austin stay healthy?

How does Frederick look after his illness?

Connor Williams progress is probably interesting to everyone. I'm curious if they have him take some practice snaps at OT.

Covington the DT is interesting. He looked really good in Texans game footage. He projects as a better fit in the Cowboys 4-3 than the Texans 3-4 (same situation when they signed T.McClain from the Texans a few years ago).

Covington the LB appears to be the best fit at SLB (other than moving Jaylon there in 3 LB sets). He was expected to have a slow start in the NFL because he was originally a QB in college. After an ACL injury he moved to LB where he played well. He was considered very raw as a draft prospect due his limited experience at LB. I thought he looked better physically than the now departed Damien Wilson.

Quinn will be interesting but his game is already well established on 'film" so there shouldn't be many surprises.

Noah Brown is an interesting player. He is the best blocking WR (college and pro) that I've seen. He wins blocks against LBs on a regular basis. He'll have to become more fluid as a receiver to keep his roster spot.

All of the young TEs are interesting.

DE Armstrong did some good things last year. Can he build on that? They'll probably draft another DE at some point in the draft.

What happens with CB Lewis? I would give him some snaps at FS. His tackling is way above average as a CB.

They liked OL Parker Ehinger enough to trade for him. He played LT as a Senior and OG/RT previous years.

Any young OT will be interesting to see because they lack depth.

Taco has talent. Just needs to get his head right with ball.

Olawale at RB.

All back 7 players in the 2nd year in the Kris Richard scheme. Jones, Brown, Awuzie, VE, Jaylon, Woods. Will Heath compete will Woods at FS or Iloka/draft-pick at SS. Who plays SLB? How do they use Lee (backup or WLB in 3 LBs sets with Jaylon at SLB).

Will Randy Gregory return? Marinelli loves his abilities, approach to the game, his work-ethic when at the facility and the fact that he came to camp in great physical condition last year.

The recycles are the most interesting to me. Linehan didn't make use of Olawale at all, and Austin on only a limited basis. But we brought them back anyway. With those guys coming back after we barely used them, I wonder if Linehan was out of step with the guys who brought them in.

A misdirection run threat with Zeke remaining on the field is what I wanted to see last year, but nada from Linehan. This year, we've got Moore, who is supposedly all about motion and misdirection. Zeke/Olawale/Austin/Dak. Four legitimate run threats who could easily *all* be on the field at the same time.

Lots of guys on the cheap to be interested in too. Hyder seems like a deal. I don't know how 4-3 teams sat back and watched while we got Hyder for 1mil. 8 sacks, 19 QB hits in 2017. We just paid gazillions for Lawrence at 10.5 and 23 QB hits. Ok, Hyder wasn't as good as Lawrence, but that's nice production.

Devin Smith seems like a steal too. Cedrick Wilson was talked up last year, and again recently with putting on muscle. Austin was very productive per target, and he should be able to take a lot more of them than we got last year. I'm less excited about Cobb. I see him more as a competent guy to help move the chains on third down.

Interesting about Ehinger at RT. And Williams. I had penciled in Williams as the replacement for Collins at RT in 2020, but with Fleming signed for 2, Ehinger, Looney, SuaFilo for 1, we've got too many guys, but real options if we trade/cut Collins. I think we'd pull the trigger but for the impression that Jerry got Collins to come here his rookie season on a promise to deliver the extension Collins got, and won't be backing out of that deal now.

Richard needs to be more than pseudo-DC. Defensive failures in preparation by Marinelli ended our last two playoff "runs". Fool Jerry/Garrett twice, shame on them. Fool em a third time, and we're in Clown World.

Jaylon at SLB. I see no sense in putting Sean Lee on the bench in favor of Covington on the field. A squandered opportunity. There was talk of SLB for Jaylon last year. I loved it. He has the speed to control the edge, can cover a TE in man, and can blitz. It's perfect. Lee at WLB in the run game is perfect. All Pro right there not so long ago. That's where he belongs. LVE at MLB against the run is perfect. The biggest and beefiest.

I believe in Prescott. I would also draft a quarterback every single season in the late rounds. You don't know what you're going to get. And then you can have him for trade bait if he pans out.

Not a bad idea, imho. We now have a backup QB in Mike White who needs to display convincing promise of developing into a keeper. Teams that routinely draft QBs in their late rounds will eventually find one that makes that effort worth it, either as a keeper or simply to trade.

I’m pretty easy. I want health, Frederick 100% and heath and taco running backup.

I’ll also be following Moore and motion changes.

Make no mistake about it you will see a change in the preseason. If you think Kellen Moore sucks you already lost integrity. Don't bother replying because you really don't understand the game.

umm WT F D UDE..

seriously can you read?

I said others will be saying that when they dont see immediate change... it will happen and fast.. dont tell me not to replay because I will and maybe 10X to irritate ya.. got it..read , let it sink in and then respond because you flew right over my sarcasm and the say my post read..

AND NO YOU WILL NOT SEE NEW PLAYS INT HE PRESEASON , NO TEAM LETS THOSE OUT, IT WILL BE BASIC FORMATIONS AND STOCK PLAYS..NOTHING WILL BE ON FILM FOR GAME 1 OPPONENT..

What I hope to see is a better flow to game play calling, rhythm set up plays to get defense to bite early on something then add to it later in the game. I dont think Our scheme, offensive plays , or even SL was bad SL simply didnt have handle for in game play calling and thats what we need, someone that can toy wit defense and use whatever they are throwing at us against them..its more about chess then checkers and SL and Garett seem to pay the checkers game to often and just had no feel when to set up the defense often enough..

I just had an irritating post prior reading yours. Make no mistake about it you will see a difference during the preseason it will not be the entire Playbook. But you will see different formations. And I actually apologize if I miss interpreted what you posted it happens. People are so sensitive LOL and your post reads as quote I told you km would suck. How am I supposed to interpret that. And actually I read it again slowly lol. Yes you were talking about how all the people would respond to Kellen Moore. I have no problem admitting I've made a mistake I make many of them. I've been a fan of this team since Rodger Staubach's first snap I'm surprised you didn't say Rodger Starbucks. Lol overseas in the military is all you could get was the Cowboys. How could you not love the star what it represents. I forgotten more things about this franchise and some of these people would even begin to contemplate. Go Cowboys

I want a new offensive scheme being put in place.
On the offensive side of the ball, nothing else will really matter if there isn't a comprehensive overhaul of the playbook & how we approach game planning.

As for Dak, it would be a nice step forward if he would make the quick, decisive throws correctly. Everyone talks about the long balls but if he just makes good decisions & throws on the quick slants, flat routes & bubble screens everything will be much more fluid.
