You need to add:

John Elway
Dan Marino
Emmitt Smith
Lawrence Taylor
Franchise Mode:
Training Camp: Make an indepth training camp.
Coach remodeled: Let the coaches level up aswell, let Wade Phillips be a 85 overall coach, after a great training camp and great season let it go up, have coaches w/ potential aswell.
Add: QB Coach, WR Coach, RB Coach, OL Coach, DL Coach, LB Coach, etc;
"The Extra Point": Around week 6 have them start talking about the next years draft, speak about teams and what their needs are, Discuss Trades; what each team got and who they believe benefited more from the trade, have mock drafts late in the season and show highlights from other games, show highlights from your game, talk about records being broken, talk about people potentially getting into the hall of fame, make it a 10 minute ESPN segment.
Readd the Newspapers from Madden 2006
Make neogiotians realistic, contact the player in week one you wish to negotiate a new contract, have them mail you around week four, and speak in week five, if you can't come to terms it starts again, make it the head coach 09 system.
Add mailbox, be able to mail other coaches, be able to mail your owner and GM, be able to speak to agents and the media.
Add Computer-Computer trades.
Player Statistics:
After the last Player Statistics update add a function to be able to edit players overalls and stats, unlock the Edit System for all players.
