This board's meltdown is after a loss is hilarious

I see it this way......

I see the Commanders and Giants as inferior to us, yet they're ahead of us in the standings.
From what I have seen of all four teams so far this year, the entire NFC East is in one big bunch. No team looks clearly superior or inferior to any of the others.

The next three weeks will tell a lot.

You are the one that is hilarious, no I take that back, you are sad.

If this loss does not hurt then you can't be a true fan.

If this game did not rip your heart out and smash it on the floor, then who or what are you cheering for?

Plus you must not understand how the whole thing works.

You must win games to make the playoffs, you must win games to get home playoff games.

Each one of these games that we were in position to win, but let slip away will come back to haunt us late in the season.

You cannot consistently let victory slip through your hands.

Now if you don't really care to begin with, then I understand your complacent attitude.
Your trying to make way too much out of this, he's an Aggie. Need I say more?

I take it very seriously, but it doesnt ruin my week if we lose, as so many on this board claim it does.
So leave and let us miserable wretches wallow in our misery.

What's sad is that you get this upset over as football game. It sucks, I know, but there are more important things in life.

Yes there are... However, in that context, why bother rooting for any team then? If we choose to make ourselves fans of a certain team, we're entitled to have strong emotional reactions. That's why we're Cowboys FANS and the heart of this forum is as such.

Being a fan means you root for your team, it doesnt mean you have to fall apart when they lose one game in a 16 game season.

If this was the SB or a playoff game and we lost like this, I would understnad, but you people are acting like its a lost season

It almost makes losing worth it :lmao:

Get a grip people, its just a game, and only one game at that.

I agree, we straight up dominated PHilthy, man-handled the Giants, although the score didn't reflect it, and we lost a tight game today, it's getting way out of hand, and then the same blame-game is played out, "THE PLAYCALLING IS CONSERVATIVE!! WA WA WA!!"

Then go do those things......

Why even watch the game then...after all...it's just a silly game.

Are you honestly telling us that losing like this shouldn't get ANYBODY upset?

Give me a break.

Agreed...Pretty Stupid way of thinking IMO!

I'm sorry but if you think like this..You really are not a true die hard Cowboy Fan!

Well, all games generally lead to whether you make the playoffs or not. In a 16 game season (as opposed to say a 162 game season of baseball or 82 games in the NBA season), each game is pretty important! Plus, I've always thought of the term FAN as part of FANATIC.

Well, you saw what type of loss this was. The type where they should've WON... Those hurt a lot. If the Cowboys get blown out, you'd still get the venomous posts about the team but y'know what? As strange as it might sound, it better to lose when you think there's was no chance at winning at all. Today's game (like the Washington game) was another story...

People aren't looking for a voice of reason right now. Let them stew if that's what they wish to do. It's not up to anyone else to put them in check.

Reading the ridiculous "we are going 4-12" posts and such soothe the pain of loses. :)
nothing soothing about that because obviously it's not accurate ;) I know what you are trying to convey here, but the whole idea is to win games. I dont believe losing a game like that should sit well in your stomach. What I hate most is it reminded me of the Commander game and I just got over that

Gee...let me think here....a loss like this CAN KEEP US FROM THE PLAYOFFS. Have you not noticed what division we are in?

Get with it man. Losses like this just may keep us from making the playoffs.

He thinks we're going to sweep the remaining division games in their houses I guess.

Personally I don't find it funny.

I find it sad.

I dont expect anything from this team, I've learned over the last decade high expectations only lead to letdown with this team. If they win, great, Im surprised and very happy. If we lose, well, we've been doing it for a decade.

You do know that 4-12 thread was a sarcastic post, right? He wasn't being serious.

so doing it for a decade means that tide will never change, and as a fan when they get better we should think less of the losses because of a bad decade P-L-E-A-S-E

Why explain it to him? He's amused.

When the tide changes, my expectations will change with them. But until we can do more than win 2 in a row and be an average team, then I refuse to let myself get hurt time and again by being letdown.
