Tnew is worth yards and points in most games, if he doesn't play. He might be worth 2 games too. 9-7 vs. 11-5?

Nah... we just gotta score more points than the other team :D 2 more times (a yogiism)

Newman isnt gone for the season, Romo isnt going to throw 20 INTs, Terry Glenn isnt going to fall into a million pieces the first time he gets hit, Aaron Glenn isnt going to be match up against an 8 foot receiver every week, and Greg Ellis has two first round picks ready to step in for him.

We have enough talent to win the NFC East WITHOUT Newman, and when he trots out week one and makes Eli Manning his own personal stepping stone into the netional spotlight, many of you are going to feel very foolish for worrying so extensively about this.

Yoiu have to admit we are much more vulnerable without Newman, so while I agree there sis no need to panic, concern is a legitimate reaction.

I hope you are right about Romo not throwing 20 INT's, but I'm guessing he gets close. He may still throw 25-30 TD's, but with his style INT's are going to be part of the mix.

Just on a side note-alot of people said how the Giants faded down the stretch b/c of injuries to their 2 best players-Toomer and Strahan.

BUT-if anyone bothered watching those Gints games in the second half of the season, you would have noticed how they SELF-DESTRUCTED(more than anything else) in those games. They had nothing to do with the injuries(i.e. the TN game where they had a 21-0 lead left in the GAME-how the heck was the lack of Strahan causing this meltdown?).

And I hate to admit this too-but the Gints dominated us in that second game in every phase, but bone-headed PFs and that fumble by Kiwi gave us 9 lives in the game.

Pt being that yes, I AM losing sleep over Newman's injury-but IF we're a good team who sticks together and has alot of chemistry(unlike the Midgets last year), I think we'll be OK.

And when Julius was healthy, he was up and down anyways-if Chicago and Seattle had healthy LB corps(Urlacher didn't play), JJ would have stunk up the joint instead.

150 and 198 respectfully are a far cry from stinkin up the joint regardless of who's healthy. It's not like the Cowboys were playing against college teams.

And why is it those teams injuries get excused but our's don't?

That's a strange perspective...

In successive weeks, Julius didn't do squat against the Saints' 32nd ranked run D, and he did even worse against Philly's and Wash's(both were pretty stout, yes, but he got exposed nonetheless).

Making excuses for those teams? I'm just putting things into perspective. Urlacher didn't play in that game b/c he tore his hamstring in the previous game-of course, he's the heart and soul of that D. And Seattle was playing with a bunch of scrub LBs.

I'm not completely writing off Julius yet-but if he were drafted by the Skins or Niners, noone would give a hoot. Just him being a Parcells pick for America's Team generated this hype in this first place.

I agree... especially about Terry Glenn... he'll be in there running thirty yard slants before you know it...
