No, it's a horrible signing because the Cowboys have basically said Zeke has gas left in the tank and they think he's going to fix their issues. So because they needed a running back Zeke is a horrible signing. So why stop there? What about Royce Freeman or Edoga?
If you sign him and Derrick Henry it’s not a bad signing. This logic is flawed especially if the Cowboys have no intention of salary for future years.
He's not. Hence, why putting your run game eggs in the Elliott basket is what makes it a bad FA signing.
Freeman? He might not even make the roster when all is said done. He's camp fodder. Trying to equate the importance/value/ FO vision in why they signed Freeman with Elliott is weird. When Freeman signed, did Stephen start waxing on about how they think Freeman has a lot left in the tank, etc? LOL, of course they didn't. Edoga? He's really a backup. They aren't going to trot him out there, nor have they sold him, as an OL solution unlike Elliott who the Jones' clearly are selling as a solution to their run game woes.
