This current roster cant win

I will say this: Supposedly the worst team in the division marched up and down the field all day on you. A washed Russ made mince meat of you secondary. The Gnats could have easily won this game. Ask yourself how often are your opponents going to gift you 160 yards in penalties? If Russ had a day like this, what would a good QB do to them?

Oh and the team with the culture changing coach had a dozen penalties as well.

The team has been cobbled together by an idiot. The same idiot who for 30 years has not been able to put together a championship team. This year is no different. And if the old wrinkle buzzard lives that long, it will be true for the next 30 years

We have the best run defense we've had in years but no pass rush. We locked up an average tight end. He's not explosive and isn't great at catching in traffic. The best hands on the team is Pickens but his routes aren't great. The run game is lime the parcels era. 2-3 yards which helps but we need an occasional broke tackle. We can't get buy with average play at tight end and running back. Something has to improve. Our run defense keeps us in games. But somebody needs to start getting sacks.
Well we just won.

Folks it is not the roster. It's the crap owner, culture and clown coach.
No, it's the roster. Yes, all that TOO...but...even if we Lombardi and Kraft...Donovan Wilson is a liability in coverage and our linebackers just stand around and watch plays develop. Our offensive tackles are suspect and can be exploited by a team with good edge rushers. It's not "culture" and it's not Jerry...yet.

Overall I agree with you and we need some DEs. Hopefully Clowney helps but I’m not holding my breathe. But on the positive side Eze did get good penetration and rush Wilson on Wilson’s interception.

So bad news is we do lack a pass rush. Good news is the kids are getting reps and experience. I predicted 6 wins with this team and I made a post about my goal for this season is player development. Houston played okay. Eze got one at the end of the game. I’m concerned about Kneeland.

Dak and the offense were fortunate they faced probably the worst defense in the NFL today.
The Giants’ defense is actually pretty good. They have a lot of talent there, especially on the line. It’s their offense that is horrendous yet they brutalized our secondary in a terrible way.

30 years. One constant.

First of all, this team could have and maybe SHOULD have beat the Eagles in the 1st game.

And they found a new way to beat a team that Dak owns.

No, I don't trust Eberflus as the DC, not yet...but the secondary is a bit of train wreck of injuries so, I'm willing him to cut a real slim sliver of slack. o_O

And I do hope we find a more explosive RB on the roster.

And I pray that Turpin's injury isn't serious, because I believe he's one of the wildcards of this offense. So much so that I may find someone to return kickoffs to prevent him from taking the punishment. I'd still put him back there for punts though. Turpin and Ferguson are definitely going to see 1-on-1 coverages ALL game long with CD and Perk on the field, and I trust Turp to beat a lot of slot CBs at the snap. And Ferguson should be able to beat many LBs and some safeties depending on the matchup.

But if this defense doesn't get healthy, and Ebeflus more creative, they could be REALLY bad this season. But the run defense has been pretty solid. The Giants only had 84 rushing yards.

I don't know who this team is yet. And I figured we wouldn't until like halfway through the season. Shotty and Eb needs some time to gel with these players.

How serious is Tyler Biadasz' injury?

Alternatively, we're looking like a team that's trying to be built the right way, from the trenches out and around a new HC. This was never going to be THE YEAR, this was the audition for Schotty and whether the weapons we have in the Offense is worth a shot at ALL-IN for 2026 and 2027 (with the draft and even FA looking at the Defensive side of the ball).

Im quite happy with the way we're playing......yesterday could, in part be down to missing Bland and Revel

It can though.

I don't think you understand the fact it was the first few games.

Ferguson had some nice plays, Tolbert too, as well as Pickens and Lamb.

You're focused too much on the skill players, which we have plenty of especially with the emerge of Williams.

I expect Sanders load to increase soon as well. I like some of the things he does.

I still think the best way to get Blue on the field is to play him in the slot, to move Blue and Turpin around and hand them the ball occasionally while at the very least making the defense respect their elite speed as receivers. Blue is a decent receiver.

Actually, it could be possible he might make an NFL roster as a receiver. His routes and movements remind me of Josh Downs.

One of my favorite receivers.
