This Defense is better

WFT cleary has a better defense than the Cowboys and yet the Chargers scored 3 less points against Dallas. Defense has improved but still has a lot of holes.

Glad to see the turnovers continue. Would like to see some tighter coverage, especially on teams who employ such big WRs. That being said the D represented themselves amazingly well, especially considering how long they were on the field the 2nd half. Iron out the inconsistencies and this will be a dangerous team. Hope to see better clock management moving forward, but when you win it's easier to overlook

I give it up to the safeties that we brought in. I feel that they really did well.

Also, with the addition of Parsons they certainly improved.

If they didn't call that a sack, it should have been a penalty and loss of downs. Either way, that was a very pivotal play that help them to a field goal.

I was hesitant to compliment them last week because I wasn't sure if it was us or if the Bucs were just rusty. This week confirmed it. They still can improve and they aren't all-pros, but they still played very well for a team missing 3 starters.
I don't know. They held them on points. But they also got help with all the penalties the chargers committed. They forced one punt that I know of, and even that was blown by the special teams.

They are terrible at tackling. They are terrible on third down. They did do better against the run the past couple weeks though. And they are at least making plays here and there. But they are still really bad.

They are better but Hurts will kill them with the QB runs if LVE or Smith are spying.

Bend but don't break worked today. I don't care how many yards they give up as long as they limit points allowed and get some turnovers.

Having said that I think the Chargers should have ran the ball more. Seemed everytime they ran it they got a big gain. To me it looked like they called the game in an attempt to make Justin Herbert a star in a national telecast. Kazee's endzone pick won the game, Romo called it too.

Actually defense made some stops when they ran. They gave up some big runs, sure but much better than last year

Also it’s a new defensive scheme and they should only get better as they get more acclimated.

Just looked at the stats and it was better than I thought. Once we get Gallimore back in the middle of the d-line things should be even better.
