This defense pass rush is slightly over-rated, there is no running game

I keep hearing this defense is ahead of the offense, look at all those pass rushers, look at the coverage etc but all of that falls apart when you have to stop the run game for four quarters.

Until I see them do it this defense is nothing, DON’T EVER FORGET WHAT HAPPENED IN THE PLAYOFFS VS 49ers.

And the quarterback chokes, don't forget that one...

The DL should not be judged prematurely now.

I think if Tank can stay healthy and live play like he did his contract year, then we could a damn good pass rush, but if not, I honestly think it's pretty average to below average group.

You may be right.
Injuries are a part of the game, unfortunately.

You just want to get lucky on that front.

Can’t tell much during preseason. We will see a flash here and there. Once the lights come on you will see. See us have long runs called back for sloppy play and flags at first. And maybe a blow assignment or 2 on Defense. Then we will settle in.

If they keep Golston over Ridgeway, Hill or Bohanna you know Jerry don’t care about winning in the post-season.

Golston isn’t going anywhere and hill has nothing to do with Bo
If ridgeway is cut, which is very possible, it will be because Bo is playing solid football

I like Ridgeway. Hill was a bust. But if it’s his contract year then he will finally play hard. Bohanna seems to have more upside.

Golston played pretty solid as a rookie last year
I don’t think we carry two NT, but we will see
My guess is ridgeway is not on the 53
But I like him and think he can develop and hope he’s on PS

The Cowboys lead the league in run defense so far this preseason.

Cowboys opponents have an average of 58 yards rushing so far. They average 2.47 yards a carry and have yet to score a rushing TD.

Yes, it's the preseason, of course. However, it's obvious the DT's are vastly improved and run defense has been given a high priority.

Golston will be a big part of the run defense. He’ll play as a 5-tech DE in some of Quinn’s different fronts, which he has been doing very well this pre-season. He will be doing that next to a NT and that is a very effective front against the run.

The defense, in the two preseason games Dallas has played, has been stellar stopping the run, in case anyone hasn’t noticed. Extremely good. He hasn’t been pressuring the QB, so a lot of fans don’t think he’s done much. I promise you, the coaches know what he’s done, and there is no chance in hell that Quinn keeps Ridgeway over Golston. Lmao

Several posters have resurfaced lately and their posts avoids the terrible failures that happened against the 49ers. It was a terrible game if you are a Cowboy fan. The thing that bothers me is that the roster made no improvements and 5-6 starters were lost with no valid replacements brought in. It doesn’t look good IMO. I find it hard to see how this team can improve from last year.
