It'll suprise us by getting less sacks and turnovers than last season.
I believe jnday was referring to cyber fans, not actually home fans cheering in the stands on gameday... just me, maybe I'm wrong.
if they stay healthy I think the offense will be pretty good but this defense I'm sure will let the team down again as they have for years now.
Golden, this season has to have you at least interested...
Dear Galian Beast, my rugged friend from the gridiron. Blimey! If you are ever in the neighborhood, come on over. We shall go to the nearest pharmacy, buy a quart of nuclear fuel and take a ride in my DeLorean. Once in the past we can visit all the years that fans have said that are defense will "surprise" people. Well, I have constantly been surprised at its ineptness, disorganization, feebleness and haplessness due to lack of talent, ongoing suspensions and injuries and just poor showings in FA and the draft. We can't seem to fix the secondary. And the line suffers because of this. And DE is a perpetual work in progress.
I hope this defense will surprise us in a good way. But, mate, do not hold your breath. I and we have been there before.
Also the fact that a fan has to say the defense will "surprise" us is never a good sign. Any good defense is not supposed to surprise the fandom and instead just do its sterling job, as it should.

Goodness, your fuel is so much easier to get than the nuke fuel i have to beg for from the corner chemist. You need to send your DeLorean back to the dealer, there was a recall. Mine runs on banana peels, orange rinds, and left over spaghetti. Also have them check your flux capacitor.

Are you saying you dont like Jason Garrett as our coach?
The defense wasn't that bad last year the offense wasn't enough of a threat. The defense needed to limit the opponents offense to less than 20 points for us to get a win and that's wasn't going to happen.
There's no getting around the lack of takeaways. Sure, it's easier to get them when teams have to throw, but at some point, you just have to get them on your own. Plenty of teams with anemic offenses have had good seasons playing great defense. We're not good enough to do that right now.
I won't be surprised to see a big statistical improvement this season, but expect that just to be because the offense is putting teams in bad situations against us. But there's not getting around the fact that these guys can't step up very often if the offense can't get it done.
just curious if you have ever played this game, not being disrespectful, just asking a straight question, and looking for an honest answer.
Stressing out a depleted defense because your offense is decimated as well,, there isn't a defense in this entire league that would have performed much differently if in that situation the past few years.
