This feels a lot like 2008 all over again

Win loss is a team stat. Not an individual one. Weeden has played well enough to win either start.

With a better defense he wins both games. He doesn't have that right now. We'll see how much the suspended guys help soon.

Washington and NY are mediocre at best. GB will be a tough game and Buffalo will come down to earth once Taylor s exposed

The Gents exposed Tyrod. He is awful and his passes are slow. Not impressed.

But there fans will be liquered up and it will be cold. And we will have to listen all week to players saying, I'm not wearing sleeves, blah, blah...

Feels a lot more like the 2010 season the team was coming off a surprising 11-5 season in 09 with a playoff win and expectations for the 2010 season were sky high. Romo ended up being lost that season with a broken collarbone and after a surprising 2014 season that saw a playoff win here we are again.

That is the season I was thinking the most of.

It's been pretty similar the only difference is the Cowboys got off to a bad start in 2010 and even with Romo they were 1-4. Romo's collarbone injury makes it similar and the fact the team was coming off a surprising season the year before that saw a playoff win. I did mention the 2010 season during the offseason because some were getting pretty carried away as many usually do when the Cowboys come off a good season.

Sounds pretty soft to me. None of those teams are any good, except GB. Both the Bills and Jets have crap offenses

Commanders always give us trouble. Bills may not be a big time offense, but they have an outstanding defense and Shady McCoy has had a lot of success against Dallas over the years. The Jets are improved.

We just lost to a winless team. I don't think any of those teams are easy.

We were missing 8 of our top 15 players most of the game. How is that remotely close to an expected healthy team by the time we play those games?

We'll have Romo and Dez back for those games, not ti mention (presumably) some Defensive starters back. With Romo and Dez we can beat all of those teams, maybe except GB

Nothing about this season is 2008. 2008 the team was full of entitlement and thought they had achieved the ultimate goal of going 13-3 and having homefield advantage and living off of that. This team felt cheated and like they had unfinished business and were hungry for more. There is no comparison to 2008 different mentality different team.

I honestly think we go on a 2006 Steeler like tear the last 6 games of the year. We will have most of our key players back and a very soft schedule
You do realize the Steelers flopped in 2006 and missed out on the playoffs? Maybe it was a Freudian slip?

Or 2010 really when we had a bad, aging OL. Romo never came back. Wade was the head coach. Defense was aging too.

Don't see that either. The current team's defense/OL isn't aging, Garret will be head coach next season. This is just an unfortunate series of event with the injuries that we need to account for next year by drafting a QB early in next year's draft to be groomed as Romo's eventual replacement.

These last two games have felt more like 2013 with Monte Kiffen for me. The offense was holding its own and even gave a lead but then the defense changed gears in the 2nd half and became a doormat. It just feels like we can't trust this defense to hold a lead for us late in the game. Yeah, yeah...injuries and such, but some of it doesn't seem based off of a lack of talent as it is some sort of mojo that is seriously lacking right now. Hopefully, we can start getting it back with Hardy and McClain.

Yep. The need to connect this to a recent poor season is such a stretch, but I'm hardly surprised that it's happening.
