This free agency joke takes away from Schotty

It's March 13. Heart of free agency, draft is in late April. Then camp, so we already have supposed fans on here give up on the team, poke at shotty. I'm excited and until we see otherwise, I'm remaining cautiously optimistic. I see urgency in the way things are heading which is vastly different than the norm around here. Be patient folks. Don't give up.
Good for you

The guy literally sat down the hall. Nobody else even thought to interview him. There should be no surprise that he sucks.

Any good will or hope that the new coaching hires may have given us, has been washed away. It shows me that Schotty is just a puppet with no influence on team building just like the last 3 guys. No new coach would want to sit around with their thumb up their...nose and make no effort to improve the team EVEN after restructuring contracts and having PLENTY of cap space.
The coach can't tell the GM and owner what to do. He accepted this when he took the job.

But it's why I didn't really care who was hired as head coach. I thought someone like Belichick had the best chance of influencing the Joneses, but most others have to accept how they run talent acquisition and try to make up for deficiencies with coaching.

Schotty is part of the joke

It really feels like they're setting up for a tank season. I know, still early, but they signed a journeyman OC as HC. They locked up some contributors and thus far have brought in cheap, underwhelming high round talents. As if they're trying to hit on a reclamation project or two en route to a massive rebuild. The only thing that says otherwise is the restructure of Dak's contract. Unless they have a trade or two planned, I don't understand it. Why open up that much cap room just to sit on it?

I am glad your optimistic about the upcoming season. Myself not so much. There is only so much one can do when polishing a t_rd. Still waiting for the selectively aggressive actions.

When everyone jewels get tingly during Peyton Turners first sack in week 10 don’t forget all the trash talk you guys made on this forum.

I mean the coach coaches the players the GM gives him. There is a reason the GM is above the coach. This is like you saying you wouldn’t let your boss do something when at the end of the day, they are the boss and can do as they like.

Why anyone thought it would be different is beyond me. Don't get sucked.
