I think he's very good. He's just never had a bad or tough year and is trying to compensate. I'm sure he'll adjust at some point. His stats alone don't tell the whole story. You can have a QB that throws 25 TDs and 10 picks without having a horrible interception that ended up costing you the game. Like he had against the Ravens. He looked like Brett Favre after a few drinks on that play. It was him trying to play hero ball and made one of the worst decisions a QB can make. It was comedy hour. Stats don't show that. That Int is the same as an int off your WRs hands in the stats. They won the game against Washington despite him, not because of him.

This is what I'm talking about. He has had success in all 3 seasons he has started. The AFC Championship game followed by two super bowl appearances. Unless your name is Tom Brady and on a team coached by Belichick, this is not something that will remain routine. He has to get used to it and adjust accordingly. Next year won't be any easier as his cap hit skyrockets.

they are both great qbs but mahomes still has the edge..

I don't understand why you keep posting this.. Mahomes is top 5 in yards and TDs.. yes.. However he is:
15th in passer rating (Dak is #1)
19th in completion percentage (Dak is #2)
8th in TD percentage (Dak is #3)
30th in INTs (Dak is tied for 5th)
21st in INT percentage (Dak is tied for #7)
22nd in yards per attempt (Dak is #5)

So there is a QB who is top 5 in most categories in this conversation.. but it aint Patrick Mahomes..

I believe Dak has out played Mahomes so far THIS YEAR, but that's not what I said in my post.

We have seen Mahomes play at levels that Dak, and not many QBs in the history of football, has ever played at.

That's why I said that if it comes down to who has the better QB then we're in trouble, because I've not seen Dak play anywhere near the levels that we've seen Mahomes play at before. Mahomes may never reach those levels again and Dak may ascend to those same levels, but we don't know that until we see it. I can only base it off what we've seen in their careers thus far.

Sorry but this makes no sense. Dak was playing lights out before he got hurt last year and has actually played better this year. I think you, like many others, have gotten hypnotized by style points. A touchdown pass is a touchdown pass, whether it's thrown underhanded, left handed with eyes open or closed... it's still just 6 points. While I agree that Dak needs to play at this level for an extended period (two or three seasons) to actually be considered "better," the raw numbers say that over the last 15-16 games he has been better plain and simple. In his last 16 starts Mahomes has thrown 38 TDs and 15 INTs. In HIS last 16 starts Dak has thrown 33 TDs and 9 INTs. Dak has the better TD/INT ratio and the better differential.

You have not seen Dak play at anywhere near the levels we've seen Mahomes play? Really.. Would it surprise you to learn that Dak has at least one career game with a perfect passer rating? Mahomes doesn't have any.. Mahomes does have three career games with a passer rating above 140.. which is outstanding.. Prescott however has had 5 such games..

Look at Herbert flaming out and Josh Allen going back to his old turnover prone self. Very few good qbs like the 2000’s.
