Some would argue that 7-0 is akin to fool's gold for these cowboys.
You think you have something, but turns out... it's bust come playoff time.
Fools gold or not, a win is a win. Loosing make fools out of anyone, and it doesn't guarantee future success. Take a step back and two steps forward....what it you fall off a cliff when you step back?

This is why I don’t understand why fans aren’t rooting for complete failure.

That’s the only way change will ever happen.

I hope this team finishes 3-14.
Mountain, NOTHING will change this team.

Once the owner made #4 the HIGHEST paid player in the history of the NFL, the next 3-5 years are sealed.

No amount of losses will change a thing so there's no reason to root for losses.....they will come organically

Losers want to lose....we can be 7-0 and some will still want to lose to prove their point...that's what I don't understand.
It's probably because of the past 3 seasons. 12 win seasons are impressive but they have meant nothing when we've gone 1-3 in the playoffs.

My theory is that the 12 won seasons happened when the NFC was historically weak and we've had the 3rd easiest schedules a couple of those years.....not this year though and you see the results.

The fans are frustrated because they want change but it's impossible with an 80 year old curmudgeon not knowing when to delegate authority.

We love the Cowboys but are currently being held hostage.....hopefully the young fans like @RustyBourneHorse will see better days here

You just might get your wish.

Be careful what you wish for...it may not result in what you intended. There are many on this team who had nothing to do with this emerging debacle, and will suffer the consequences of other people's decisions.

Good coaches, good staff and good players who have nothing to do with this mess the team is in right now.

I got to see the good and bad days....I just want to win and don't think losing will fix anything....that's just me.

Fully agree. I know it doesn't sound popular as a Dallas fan, but this is the only way JJ/SJ going to clearly see they are inept to some degree and have to make some changes. Still won't be the right changes most likely (re-sign "our guys" who are past their prime, not cutting loose the ones who are stopping progress, hiring a coach but not letting him "coach", etc), but they would do more than what they have been doing at the very least.
You really think that?

Let me point you to 2016. Top 5 pick.

Kept the head coach who couldnt win a game with a backup to save his life, drafted a RB with tons of mileage to help the QB who couldnt stay healthy, drafted a LB with one leg.

Should I continue?

Hoping for failure with this team expecting the FO to change how they view roster building is not the solution. There is no solution. That is what fans need to realize.

Most of us saw this coming ( which didn't require Nostradamus).

1. Lose starters
2. Replace them with rookies
3. Spend almost nothing in FA
4. Bring in washed up FAs

This ain't exactly rocket science
5. Use 1st round pick to draft a huge developmental project selected for traits, not play.

Having talent in 2024 was clearly *not* a priority.

Made a lot of sense for a prove it year for Dak.
Made no sense to scrimp on all other positions and then back up the dump truck with money for Dak.
