The Cowboys and Chiefs reportedly have a "strong interest" in restricted free agent defensive back Jordan Babineaux.
Seattle would get a second-round pick if Babineaux inks an offer sheet.

Hope that doesn't happen!!! We need to keep our 2nd rd pick...

If we are going to waste a second round draft choice on a free agent, there are several offensive lineman that are worth it more.

I really doubt that we'll give up a 2nd here. Those picks are far too valuable.

usually when teams put that tender on a player most times they dont get what they tender. a team can negotiate a lesser pick

In recent years, we have regarded them as valuable.

But in Jerry Jones' history, he has shown he would trade them away without blinking. It is part of his risk taking behaviour that he seems to appreciate in himself.

I wouldn't be surprised.

We seem to enjoy giving our draft picks to Seattle (Joey Galloway and James McKnight).

whos he replacing? Henry? AH moves to safety? And for a second round pick...lets hope not..

He starts at FS and Henry stays where he is.

Since the Seattle defensive back turned into a Cowboy killer the last two years, many fans have asked if the Cowboys will try and sign him as a restricted free agent.
If you remember, he intercepted Drew Bledsoe in 2005, setting up Josh Brown's last-second game-winner at Seattle in the regular season and tripped up Tony Romo at the 2 after the dropped snap in the playoff game.
Babineaux could answer some questions at free safety, but the Seahawks put the second round tender on him worth $1.3 million. I can't see the Cowboys giving up a second rounder to get him.

Ok......Seems like someone has his sarcasm detector off this morning.

This was merely my stab at humor. You know....we paid two firsts for Galloway, we spent a third for McKnight.

I don't actually think we'll give up a second....

oh nevermind.

OMG no..

a 2 for him is obscene and foolish

That is why he got that tender. Everyone plays that game. We did it with Crayton.

Now I would trade him straight up for Crayton .....

I lost all interest in him when they tendered him at 2nd round value.
