This is a good time for Dak to sign his extension

The team and the offense, in particular, couldn't be more hyped.

Now, Dallas is headed to New Orleans to face the Saints who just got a big W in Seattle. Dallas could possibly lay an egg at the Superdome and come crashing down to reality. Dak wouldn't want that.

The following week, Dallas plays Green Bay. Probably the 2nd or 3rd best team in the NFC.

I would bet Dak and his agents are trying everything to get the deal done this week.

I wouldn't be so sure. he's doing nothing to hurt his chances of a big deal. and what if he performs well against both the saints and pack? no reason to think he won't based on what he's done so far.

Dak and his agents don't share the gloomy lack of confidence some fans have in him. They're not sitting around wondering how long they can fool old Jerry.

Dak is going to get paid. Whether it's tomorrow or after the season. The only people making that decision week-by-week are fans.

The price goes up every Sunday

Don't really think so, he is going to get top money no matter at this point unless there is a collapse. It is about deal length and guaranteed at this point I guess.

NO isn't that good. They benefited from two non offensive TD's yesterday which is hard to rely upon. The HYPE will be even larger when we beat them.

No, let the season play out. Either way it's market value, right? So don't rush

Well, yeah. Their defense generated a TD and is much better than the D's we've faced so far. Kind of the OP's point. Where the OP is wrong is thinking that Dak, who has shown great confidence in himself in waiting this long to sign, would somehow lose confidence and rush to sign out of fear of "possibly laying an egg" on Sunday.

He's getting franchised. It would be cheaper in the long term. This year QB tag was $25M next year will probably be $27M.

Dak is betting on himself ....... The young man thinks he should get paid what he has earned.

I predict it won't happen till our bye week.
If it doesn't happen then it might be till this summer. ( Unless we get another bye before the playoffs)

I don't think so. he could refuse to sign the tag which is what I expect his agents would tell him. the best scenario for all concerned would be to get him signed. he wants to be here and we want him here. we're just having difficulty selling him on the diminishing pie theory.

I just can't see him throwing away the 30 million he would make this year. He has got to sign pretty soon IMO.

I would wait until the new CBA is put into place. Contracts are going to sky rocket

One more time (smh)...

Both Jones’s have stated publicly that Dak WILL be extended at the upper-end of QB market value — whenever it happens and whatever the numbers.

Accept it and get over it.

Two words. Joe Flacco. With this team, Dak is betting on himself like Joe did to become then highest paid QB after super bowl win

That might have been the plan but we saw some doodoo come out in the Miami game.
