This is a huge rant of mine

But its not really about this game or the Cowboys really. Im a sports purist, I miss the old days. I miss the days of lining up mano a mano and covering the recievers. I detest the cover 2 and any of the zones really. Of cource with the way the league has changed the rules to overwhelmingly favor the offense theres not much else a defense can do. Whats considered good blocking now was HOLDING back in the day, and the way defensive backs have been hamstrung is beyond belief. You play man to man and you risk the chance of being flagged for pass interference darned near every play. Its a joke. Its all to promote scoring, which promotes excitement, which promotes MORE MONEY for the league. Still love the game, just that it really tikks me off. Same thing in basketball......allowing players to waltz to the rim without a traveling call, what a JOKE. Baseballs no different,...juiced balls, short fences, and calling a ball for any pitch above the belt forcing the pitcher to basically throw the ball right into the hitters wheelhouse. Anyway, maybe what a defense should do is blitz darned near EVERY PLAY, Put the QB DOWN HARD, and often. when the Peyton Mannings and Mike Vicks of the league start missing whole seasons maybe the league will change the game back to what it WAS. REAL FOOTBALL.! There,....I feel a little better now,..well, NOT REALLY..LOL

I hate the league's emphasis on offense, too. Even Jerry was even talking about on the pregame show, that the league's rulemakers have made it so hard on all the DBs to cover anymore.

Of course, that's no excuse for today, where we were awful everywhere. But still, I'm with you on some points.

......LOL...It really gets under my skin. MONEY has perverted all the the big 3 sports. I highly doubt guys like lester Hayes and Everson walls could even play in todays NFL. They would be flagged repeatedly. I dunno, WHY fix what aint broken?...........MONEY..THATS WHY!

Zone defenses just REEEK IMO. Theres always someone WIDE OPEN because he's not being covered. THAT should never happen. It blows. Line em up and may the best man win.......THATS football. Then you have c.b's, your best passdefenders passing off recievers to safeties! FOOLISHNESS, plain foolishness....

Seems like Philthy DB's did pretty good today under the rules..........but of course their teammates up front dont Waltz w/ the OL until the pass is gone

I think our Def coaches teach the Waltz and 2 step dance steps very well, but what we need is the "Break" dance down pat
