The defense got 4 takeaways. Success is winning. I agree with the condition of the tampa secondary you had to go after that but its an overall philosophy that will lead to a lot of losing.
Explain how running the football would have won that game? If anything the Bucs were morons for not running every down. They would have won by 50....Every time they ran they got 5+ yards...geez..Only reason it was close was they let Brady throw and he did that without a problem too.. LOL...what??
i feel like there had to be more of an attempt to show a willingness to run, but i guess field position did us no favors
1. Hell yes we're a passing team. That's the only strength this team has. 2. Tampa has the best run defense in the league and we were missing our all world guard. Things wont be as lopsided going forward. I was actually super impressed by the play calling and game plan tonight. The old Cowboys would have kept feeding Zeke for no gain just because he's a high paid back who used to be good three years ago.
The D HAS improved, and it will continue to improve. This was our first game, against the world champs in their house, against the GOAT and that front seven. We had 2 fumbles and 2 INTs!
To be a division contender go deep in the playoffs I think this crew has to reel off four wins in a row starting next week and continuing at home against three Krispy Kreme’s on the schedule .
No I think it was a great offensive calling by Kellen Moore . But I wonder how effective is the running game zeke with 3.3 average per carry . How good is the run game given all the money invested in it .
At least it’s better than shown here: 1)Most teams aren’t as good against the run as Tampa. 2)Zach Martin’s presence mattered. 3)They’ll run more against other teams Under Kellen Moore, with Dak and that WR group, and with a lesser Zeke, they’ve morphed from a team that runs to set up the pass, to a team that passes to run. I’d STILL bet the farm Zeke ends up more yards than 2020’s 979.
Fans are overreacting ... its' not like its' gonna be 50-60 attempts every game like this one ... . i would have liked to have seen more attempts with the RBs, i would have liked to continuing the multi motion and moving formations like we did in 1st half ,, instead of straight basic drop back in 2nd half ... but at least now we know there's nuthin wrong with Dak's shoulder
well, the bucs were number one in stopping the run and the middle of their defense was very stout. we got no push at all. I was surprised we didn't use the screen pass more often or didn't try to run to the edge more
Without Zack Martin and against a top-rank run defense, yes, this is a passing team. Next week may be different.
I hope not. I want it to be a team that adapts to situations. The Bucs have a superb run defense, but every team won't have that. We'll meet some opponents that we'll be able to run on really well. In that case, run down their throats and pig up the time of possession. I don't blame this team for passing so much last night. The run just wasn't working. I see what they did as adapting, and that's a good thing.
