This. The blue print on how to beat Dak is out there. Now is the time to see if Garret and company can counter punch.

Well its the same with any other qb. Get pressure and have corners that can cover.

I couldn't disagree more. We ran the ball great. The qb was not up to the challenge. He looked uncomfortable in the cold and was confused by the defense all night.

they played great pass defense and we made one play the whole night. There were guys open to move the chains and keep drives going but Dak was just terrible in every sense of the word.

I don't believe there is a blue print, I think we played a great defense and the pressure they bring caused problems.

I really hope this team buckles down and stays out of the club long enough to correct the problems, the season is going to get harder not easier going forward but I understand they are young guys who like to have fun or whatever.

Hard to be a good coach when your starting QB plays like a 3rd stringer. Blame the coaches, blame dez, but the reality is, this loss is 10000000% on Dak and his disgusting QB play tonight. This is like the 2nd or 3rd straight game that he has totally blown chunks. I am not saying to pull him, that ship sailed when they gave him the position. But the reality is with him at qB we are one and done in the playoffs. It's to big for him at this point in his career.

You people are comical. One bad game and you throw the guy under the bus and run over him... the most absurd and comical thing I've read this morning. I'm sure there will be more- who's next?

Its not one bad game. its been several bad games. Just because we won the others doesn't ease his pitiful play

Not only do the giants have a good enough d line to slow us a bit on the run but their secondary can single up on every receiver we have. The gmen have put together a great defensive backfield and the Collins kid is playing out of his mind.
Dak basically won the Vikings game with about 3-4 crucial scrambles for first downs. Tonight, with a defense playing man coverage, he never made them pay.

All that said,we lost this game in the first half. We had ample opportunity to go up by 2-3 scores and just misfired at critical times. The giants were asking to be put away in the first 30 mins. The longer we let them hang around, you could just see their confidence soaring.

One in reality he's been bad over the last three with 195 169 and 135 yards passing. If he didn't have this dominant running game we would have lost all three. He's just a rookie and defenses have caught up with him just like they did with wentz. If you're okay with giving up a super bowl this year then keep playing him. I'd rather hand it back like Denver did with oswiler and manning for this season.

This loss in on you! Your playcalling was an atrocious joke all night long. Not only did you squander a terrific defensive performance, but you took the ball away from the league's top rusher and best offensive line, but you put all of the pressure on a rookie quarterback playing with a disinterested, brain-dead wide receiver. This loss is all on you. Hang your head.

Bingo. That's the main reason we lost.

Linehan did call a screen pass to Witten and Dak almost threw an INT in his own red zone. He also threw a quick pass to Zeke out in the flat but totally overthrew him.

He also called a bootleg for Dak in the 4th and threw a dangerous short pass across his body to Witten who was hit right on contact.

It is almost like Linehan forgot about the slant pass until Odell caught one for a TD. Dak was getting blitzed all night and Linehan didn't have an answer until 2 minutes left in the game. Twill caught one that was just short and Dez fumbled it away, but they executed them. Too little too late.

If Dez didn't fumble that last ball away it might have been another incredible comeback. Now we will never know.

And those who keep blaming Linehan, Zeke was facing 6 man fronts by the end of the game. That's one of the reasons his YPC started to drop.

Dak has to perform with those conditions irrespective, particularly when the defense isn't respecting your arm and daring you to throw.

A quick passing game with short routes, slants, screens would have negated the pass rush, It like they rely too much on the oline to block forever and when they can't the passing game falls apart.

I think the OL is better at run blocking than pass blocking.

What is the blueprint?? Covering our lousy WR's when they are running 20 yard out routes??

This! Why all the medium to long routes now? Did Linehan decide Dak has graduated rookie school and now refuses to give him anything underneath? And one screen pass? The last three games follow this game plan to as tee and unfortunately it seems none of our WRs can win one on one match-ups. I love the touchdown play with the play-action, but we also saw a lot of telegraphing with the play calling. Our 1st series is a prime example - we always run on 1st down so we did, we go empty backfield with 2nd down (duh, pass play), and 3rd down is full of long routes (because we're behind on the sticks) and the defense blitzes the crap out of us.

As to Dak - I think we found his weakness - cold weather. Even when he got time to set his feet his throws were high or lead too far or too low. They were all over the map. It didn't help that he had no receivers open, but again we don't run many pick plays like the Patriots so we don't get their highlight reels. It also didn't help that we have a massive rushing attack but the only play-action we call is the bootleg. Has anyone noticed most of our play-action consists of running until they stop us and then trying a play-action the next play? Lol...

Dez - no effort means no production. Nuf said.

The Defense - amazing. Turnovers!!!!! Pressure!!!!! We got gassed at the end of the game but this was some exciting defensive action! Loved it!

Sean Lee - best defensive player we have and probably just as much an MVP candidate for us as Dak and Elliott. He is inside the opponents head every week and just seems to know the plays before they hike the ball. Too bad he doesn't have any help! Hat's off to him for being such a professional and having such a passion for the game!

Well this is what many of them have been waiting many weeks for. Dak finally lost again, so now they can put him down,
so Romo will be put back in as starter, lol like the jones boys and jg read this stuff ! Or that we make the call on that.

But they have been waiting and it finally came so they will sound off all week like it makes a difference.

I will say this, dak did hurt is status as starter with this game, not due to losing, but his passes were not good most of the time.
but he didnt have much help from coaches or other players. like dez.
I will say again this loss will be good for them, now they know they can lose. They now need to finish ahead of the giants.

And it's one thing to prefer having him on a pitch count. It's another to do it when he's the only thing that's working.

After a while he's not going to work anymore. And you risk burning him out for the rest of the season to win 1 game when you have a playoff berth locked up and are very likely to have HFA throughout the playoffs. I don't like losing to the Giants anymore than you do, but the coaching staff has to think ahead and the fact is that if we don't show any threat of a pass, EE won't be effective after a while.
