this is bogus

I was kidding around.

And that was all you had to say.

Honestly, in your first few responses it looked like you were defending the gist of what you said in your first post. You never once said you were kidding until I came out and asked if you were joking.

I didn't mean to be so cryptic.

I have often joked that I started this fad. I don't think this is the first time here, but it may be. Next time I'll add smilies. I think I did it here before when someone posted that backwards caps is "disrespectful."

As I said above, the last comment of my very first post on the subject was supposed to be a clue that it was a gag. I also later clarified that I doubted there was any veracity to the OP.

The truth of the matter is I did wear my cap backwards all the time and people thought I was very stupid for doing it and I didn't care. I wasn't doing it for fashion. I did it for exactly the reason I stated, so my cap wouldn't blow off.

Hell, I wear blue jeans, tennis shoes, and t-shirts. What do I care about fashion? I don't. I also don't care that guys do it now for fashion or any other reason. I will continue to make fun of the notion this is an issue.

If someone did this as a fashion statement before me, more power to them. I still say I was first. :D <<< Added so someone will know I'm still joking.

Hostile might have been kidding, but I'm not. I really did start the fad of being a tripod. If you don't believe me, you can come to my house and check it out some night after a few drinks. Especially the ladies.

I Am hearing all around the nfl and radio that they want tony romo to stop wear in his hat backwards what the hell

Well, the simple solution is to do what Jespar Parnavik did on the PGA tour. He wore his hat with the bill pushed up, blocking the sponsor's logo. Jespar simply had the logo affixed to the underside of the bill.

Watch for the latest fad: A Cowboy hat with the start on the back of the cap. I'll order one!

They actually wear hats backwards and have this mask on the back of their heads, too. It's so the tigers think the men see them and aren't sneaking up on them.

I saw that special on Animal Planet, too. ;)

Nothing else on TV that night??

You and my nephew might get along, he has lousy taste in TV shows too... I'm liable to catch him watching Animal Planet, or any show about tattoos, or building motorcycles (weird, because he's never owned a motorcycle), or the UFC... and he just dearly loves Survivorman...

And I thought my late Mom was bad, with her love of the Game Show Network and Pax... she wondered then why I never sat and watched TV with her, just as Michael does now...

Personally, my tastes run more to the classic movies...

Like Grandma's Boy... :D

How about the baseball cap that is too big for the head with the REAL flat bill? I dont like that one.

Oh, you mean the Pokie Reese Cap? Yeah, hate it. It looks like somebody just went and ironed out the bill of a ball cap and that was it.
I think it looks goofy as all heck but hey, like I say, it's not my time.

I like it.

I think fans at the stadium should wear theirs backwards to show support.

And I thought Yogi Berra started it. I know Johnny Bench started wearing the plastic cap, with no bill on it under the straps of the catcher's mask.

Once again, your faceiousity has backfired on you...

I hate when that happens...

My goodness. Those of you that took him seriously should have your sense of humor card REVOKED. I cant believe the length and content of this thread. And you, Hostile, should have expected this. I read the original post ,laughed and moved on. I invented that.

Well now, I've discovered two things in this thread.

Hos invented the backward cap look, out of necessity to increase aerodynamics. And "Hey, I was only joking around", is now the forum board equivalent of "No, seriously officer, I was just holding it for him!".

Naw, if it was aerodynamic, the bugs wouldn't have hit me in the face.

You still need to keep studying.
