The cowboys get bashed for doing something the media said needed to be done in order for us to be a championship calliber (sp) team, which was cut the trash pretty much. The only thing were missing from the 13-3 year is T.O pretty much.


And last but not least why do we have all this hate for Romo, what has he done other then getting us mentioned in the super bowl talk? Now please some1 explain that to me, don't say it's not in these blogs either. " TONY TURNOVER" is what he's mostly called by, It's pathetic imo

Quite frankly, I hope that the criticism inspires Tony Romo. He understands what he can do and what has went wrong for him in the past. He knows what kind of weapons surround him; and, most of all, he can see the road laid out before him.

Now, he must travel it. Let the criticism push him forward. If he can harness that energy positively, it'll pay off in the end.

I don't know about hype but the each of the teams you have mentioned have won Playoff Games recently.

Furthermore, with the exception of the Chargers (who almost made it to the Super Bowl), The Giants, Colts and Patriots have won Championships recently.

I see your point but i'm not talking bout the past, I'm talking about next season. Some of these teams have lost alot or big key injuries and the cowboys only loose 1 reciever and now where the not so good team nemore ( not to mention romo missed three games).

The only thing I can come up with is that teams that don't win much in over a decade usually won't get the hype more successful teams get.

Last year, the media was gushing all over us because of the 13 and 3 season, most had us pegged for the Super Bowl, so really, it comes down to just winning.

Same with Romo, if you win, people shut up.

Frankly I am happy we don't have the pressure of being picked by the media. Either way we have to win and if we do then it really doesn't matter what they say. Tony is going to have a great year IMHO and finally shut up all of his critics.

The Giants won a SB 2 seasons ago, and won the division last year. They added several players (though they ridiculously overpaid for Canty), and - like Dallas - only really lost one key player, also a WR.

The Chargers have won multiple playoff games the last few years, and have generally drafted very well. They still have a ton of young talent. They're almost certainly going to win their division, so it's almost a given that they'll have a home playoff game. Dallas has no such luxury.

The Colts have an all-time great at QB, a ton of weapons he can use, and some elite players on defense. If you say they "choke", then what do you call what the Cowboys have done the last few years? Unlike Dallas, the Colts have a recent Lombardi on the shelf.

The Pats also have one of the greatest QBs to ever play, and half their team has rings. Their record this decade speaks for itself.

I don't fully understand what you're saying about Romo, but pro or con, he'll never be considered (and shouldn't be) among those elite players until he starts winning in December and January. The stark difference in his #s after Thanksgiving just adds fuel to the fire. That's really the same problem the team has as a whole. And as Romo goes, so will this team. As great as Witten and Ware are, it's likely that it will be Romo's play that will either lift this team back to the top, or it'll keep the choker label. It's as simple as that.

I think Romo is good as he was hyped to be, I think TO became TO last year and everyone from the players to the coaches coddled to it, so the Romo's game (alongside his injuries) was altered for it.

Now that he can play his game and throw to who is open rather than make TO happy, he will play to his strengths that he started out with.

This is typical. They all, except Deion and Irvin, said Dallas needed to get rid of TO in order to have any real shot at becoming a championship team and now many of those same people, Sapp, are saying...What? You cut TO? Now you can't win at all.

and there is a perception that they didnt improve very much during the offseason. They had no big additions.

The Cowboys should improve because of experience, more time under the same system, less bad luck with injuries, etc...but it's hard to project any of those things. They did not get better "on paper"

I will give you the fact that LT is on the downside of his career but to say the Chargers have no receivers? Come on...do you even watch football? That is a stupid comment.

The Chargers have Antonio gates (One of the best TE's in the leugue), Chris Chambers, Vincent Jackson, Buster Davis, Malcom Floyd, Legadu Neenaa, etc....give me a break.

No receivers must be the reason that Rivers was one of the highest rated QB's in the league last year. That happens a lot when you have no one to throw the ball too.

The Pats will be back in the hunt this year as well. Brady will be fully recovered. He is nothing like McNabb - a guy came in and hit him low while he was throwing the ball. Could have happened to anyone.

The Giants are still a young talented team that added players this offseason. They will be a good tem as well. Canty was not Trash..he was a good player for us that we could not afford to keep.

Get your facts straight, or at least have a decent angle on the subject before posting....it helps.

You are essentially the same team that more recently went 9-7.

What is really out of hand is the constant anger towards the media because we feel the Cowboys are being slighted. This is just like a bunch of Commander fans, bleating about being disrespected.

I could care less if they pick us dead last and don't think we'll win a game. In fact, I'd like it.
