Yea, but with Romo I felt like anything could happen. With Dak, I know exactly what's going to happen. Which is why I haven't been excited for Cowboys football for the last 7 years.
I wasn't so sure about Romo. I didn't think he was disciplined enough and could elevate his game. I never thought he could take us all the way and he played on some talented teams.

which goes back to my comment that players change, fans take sides. Dak will be gone in 3 years at most. and in comes the next player.

Well this season has definitely made my stress levels lower the last few weeks. Ever since I played Pee Wee football for the Bethesda Cowboys back in the 70s and wore those same silver and blue colors as my dude Roger Staubach, I have loved the Cowboys and I always will. For those people that say just go pull for another team, that's not going to happen. That's like changing your religion . I hate to see Jerry and his stubornness drive this franchise into the ground but I'm about 25 years younger than Jerry and hope I can outlive him to see him give up his GM duties. I honestly don't think Stephen will want to screw around with all the responsibility that Jerry had and will hire a true football man to run this organization then return us to Glory while he counts his money. It's going to be a rough two to three year run here unless we absolutely just strike gold in the draft.

I haven't watched a game since the Lions game. I visit here because I enjoy the community. Jerry doesn't care about winning, what is the point of investing? My Sundays are much better because of it. Nothing about this current teams is enjoyable. The players, coaches, front office. I hope Jerry suffers in his remaining years knowing he is a terrible GM and many fans are thinking this same thing. Enjoy getting flexed out of primetime games.

I enjoy the game as well. Chiefs/Bills was great. NFL is a beautiful product. Dallas Cowboys just isn't fun to watch. Poorly coached, sloppy play, dumb players.
We're bad, no doubt..I've been around it most of my life..even now that I'm 8 years retired, I still coach in College US-Mexico All Star games. I've seen good and bad, I'm sure the good will come around again. It happens. Landry had horrible years and Jerry and Dak weren't around then....it is what it is.

Grow up?? Says the guy that can't stop spewing adolescent crap about our team...the worse thing is that you took a bunch of good fans down with you. They bought your crap and now spew the same crap. Grow up? Lol
guess you like being a sock puppet

The cowboys have let me down to the point I have no more emotions for them. The last 4 games I've cut the game off either during mid 2nd qtr or 3rd quarter. I find myself not mad but more so in a happy mood because of unrelated things in general.

Fellow fans may tell me to kick rocks or go with another team but I have no interest in watching football if not for the cowboys, I don't care how good another team is. And the cowboys are also to blame why my passion is gone.

I'm starting to look at my love for the cowboys as a thing of the past. This is the first season where my interest was at an all time low, and I'm not just talking because of the losses.

I'm talking before the season started.
Reason why was because I don't like dak leading this team, and I know he was coming back. He hasn't done much but lose playoff games and stat pad. I believe dak is no better than what he has offered for years.

I also didn't think the coaching was good enough to hang with modern day football. There are so many teams ahead of dallas when it comes to offense that I know for fact if dallas makes the playoffs, they are done.

Our defense is also not good enough to hang with modern day offenses.

The cowboys are just not with the times and there is just zero reason for me to be excited even before the season began.

Fans are so excited and pumped before the season starts, but it doesn't take a genius to know the cowboys arnt going to be good or not going far.

Why should I keep settling for that. The more I put the puzzle together, the more my passion grew blank.

Pretending that there is a reason to get excited about the cowboys every year gets tiresome. The last time I got excited about the cowboys was when they sign Mike Mccarthy, and that lasted about a year and a half after I realized he can't take this team that far with a lack of innovation, Dak as the QB, and a bend don't break defense.

Even if Mccarthy goes, I don't believe there is no coach that can win with what dallas has on offense and defense.

Jerry will still be here which means the way dallas does things won't change.

Parsons and lamb should be traded for 1st round picks while they are young and still have value. Keeping them is just asinine at this time.

Dallas needs a complete rebuild starting with the owner on down. I do not see that in the near future. In fact I can't picture any Jones member running this team any better than Jerry. Imo this team should have been sold long ago
I like the game of football regardless of Dallas. I just enjoy watching the game being played well, and match-ups between good teams. I'd say I've ALWAYS actually enjoyed watching games MORE, if I didn't have a serious rooting interest, even when dallas was good,, and I can just enjoy the game for the game's sake . I get too stressed if I'm watching games where teamsni love are playing in. Like....I'm so stressed watching the Oregon Ducks this year. As a life long Ducks fan....it's just so stressful to watch, even though they're dominat.

But Dallas is a putrid laughingstock of a team.. At this point I almost enjoy watching then lose, as I think it's the only thing that might drive Jerruh away, if he is simply clowned on year after year

There is no hope under Jerruh. Whatever it takes for him to leave, that's what Cowboys fans should root for....even if painful in the short term.

Pretty much how most of us long time fans feel.
Jerry has finally broke us.
Broke us bad.
