This is so comical

It is not what Beasley is good at ..... he has no power and is a rag doll when hit

He should not be in the backfield

Lol...he need no power it was a toss and a clear path to the sticks...lol

LOL. No substance? You are now resigned to nitpicking a criticism on a bizarre play call here or there to try to defend what is week in and week out proving to be a mediocre coach.

We are 2-3. Teams that start 2-3 have like a 27% chance of making the playoffs. So it seems likely this will be yet another missed playoff season if the trends hold. Let's look big picture here.

But yeah, Garrett is doing a good job being let down by his players. Again.
Mediocre? He wishes...

Anyone have a replay of the play so we can confirm it was wide open if Dak kept the ball?

Honest question.

This is the answer. They used the same run blitzes all night and Dak was either unable to see them or thought the play they called would work against it. It rarely did. Its the same problem we see from Dallas - they are late making adjustments. Also, the shift fooled no one so why bother? Just run Zeke up the middle or off tackle 2 times and its likely he picks up the 1st down. Although, Zeke was not the same player last night. He look sluggish for some reason. When he was tackled from behind by a LB late in the game on the little shot pass from Dak, I was shocked. He usually turns on the burners and runs out of that tackle. He had roon to run, even pick up the 1st down on 3rd and 14 there.[/QUOTE

I hope you will see the lb reacting late to Beasley

Maybe last week got him worse than he thought. He seemed to not be as pumped. Kept waiting for him to break some of those runs loose. Almost looked like Rod looked better in his limited opportunities.

Dumb tendencies. Run Zeke on 1st down into the strength of the defense..now you are in 2nd and 8 or 9 to go. Terrible play calling to constantly put your qb in 2nd and long for most the game. The ENTIRE league expects Zeke on 1st down. Why do we continue to do this? Teams that have little success running their stud back up the middle will usually steer away from that failed strategy and throw a swing pass to the Rb or a screen pass . We all agree that Zeke needs to get the ball a ton. However he needs to get the ball when the play has a good chance to succeed . Dont just run run run Zeke for the hell of it.

It looked like the OLB held his ground but the whole play was stupid

We needed to run that pass play with Zeke spread out wide and was wide open in their zone

He was hurting and a step off all night

He got caught from behind on that screen

And why haven't we at least tried it w/ a lead blocking FB in the game? Is it a lost concept?

Lol...as if that isn't predictable, Zeke isn't a wr....lol

You might be reaching there. Beasley is 8 yards deep and there is a DB right at the line of scrimmage following him. Maybe he could have beaten him to the corner but it's not the foregone conclusion you claim.

The Texans had the right D called. #55 watched Dak which would have forced a pitch and the Texans had a DB right there watching Beasley. So by design, the play was defended. It would then have taken Beasley beating his guy which you have no idea if he could or not.

The db hesitates , Beasely is already in heading to corner, he beats him to the sticks with the other corner being ran off
