This is the last thread I would have imagined creating

It's critical that the Cowboys be no worse than 10-2 after the Philly game heading into that tough stretch of road games to finish the season.

That gives them the best chance at home field advantage in the playoffs.

Home field advantage? Can you believe it's even a topic of discussion around here this season?

What a beautifully surprising year this is so far. As optimistic as I've been all offseason, I could never have possible imagined making a thread like this.

I'd be satisfied with 9-3, but I see where you're getting. We're going to have to dig deep to win the division this year, yet alone be top seed.

I agree. December, typically, is not a great month for Dallas. They need all the momentum they can get going into that final month.

I'll just say that win against Seattle and maybe even the one against New Orleans help a lot

The good news is, as long as we make the playoffs, we are in OK shape. Running Game travels and is great for cold weather too, so inside or outside will not matter as much. We are now built to not fall apart in December. The only thing we need to worry about are injuries to the OL and the defense.

Then again, we haven't looked like the typical Dallas Cowboys of previous years.

Agreed. I doubt seriously that even Philthy will be able to come out of both those games unscathed. I expect them to lose to the Seasparrows in grand fashion.

Just wait. In a few minutes some fan is going to step in and tell us, "Can we stop talking about homefield advantage and instead just concentrate on our next game; beating the Giants?" - as if we're coaches or players, or as if our looking ahead affects the outcome of Cowboys games.

Philly doesn't play New Orleans. They play Carolina.

Yeah cause you know if we don't concentrate how will the players who actually affect the game do it? Lol

Critical? That is exaggerating in my opinion.

Like a lot of us I want to win every game.

But if we are 8-4 after 12 games we are still fine. Would like 9-3 actually. Either way nothing is critical at 5-1

Getting a little ahead of ourselves.
We don't need no kiss of death, Mr. Erod.

If Brent and DLaw can add something, that would be huge. Both will have fresh legs. If Brent can play like his old self, that would be big help in stopping the run and hopefully DLaw can add something to the pass rush.

I have no problem with us fans looking ahead. I don't get the opposite view - we're not playing the games and we have to enjoy the ride and this rare great start.

I see us 12-4 mimimum. I'd love homefield and a first round bye. I don't see anyone else in the conference putting up 13-14 wins so we have as good as shot at anyone at a Cabo weekend lol

a strong run game is even more important late in the year as weather gets more unpredictable. thats one reason Dallas has struggled, because Romo carries team with no defense and no run game. looks like if he can get one or the other he does pretty good. give him both and people start worrying about seeing him on their schedule.
