He's right about the NCAA. Testing (or avoidance of) is farcical in college football. It appears college football teams expect to be informed well in advance of in competition random testing.

The season before the last, Dallas had a 12 win regular season, and if not for a bad call on Dez...the team would have been in the NFC Championship.

Would have. coulda. whuda, shoulda's. Point is he hasn't accomplished a thing with this team in twenty years and counting.

Sorry, success twice in the last eight seasons, is defineable.

All of us Cowboy fans were robbed on that one CC. That would have been ONE appearance in 2 decades. When I was a kid watching Roger & Co. it was a letdown if we didnt play in the NFCCG. It was almost routine.

I've been told that it's selfish to want that since so many other teams never had that success.

I've been told that it's selfish to want that since so many other teams never had that success.

There is respect involved in three Lombardis, and a total of five. That is a dignified part of the entire past.

But team success is also determined by the level of play and team wins during a season as well. In the newer era of the NFL. Great numbers of team wins really is reserved for a small group of teams over the Cap era. That is the nature of today's beast.

The team does have two twelve win seasons in the past eight seasons...but to all the flame throwers, don't be selective in your selections.

Insult isn't really the dignified route. You root for what a team accomplishes.

Do you really think that Philadelphia, Washington, or the Giants really kick the Cowboys' butts now?

Winning the NFC East gets one into the 'Dance.'

The Cowboys are fully in the race for next season...but sportsmanship doesn't open the gate for non-stop whining, instead of rooting for the team. The past is still there.

For me, bad sportsmanship is way too over hyped.

I'm sorry, I won't insult what is still being sacrificed on the field...for the vanity of high ground against an opponent's team. We already have that built in six games a year...in the NFC East.

If one just needs practice, there you go.

But a poor sport Dallas fan is way too often buying into team insult, demeaning reporting, and always implied corruptions and abuses. I'd much rather prefer a homefield advantage, not due to ungrateful fans...as a place like Seattle didn't cut teeth on successes, first.

Jerry does due diligence, and continually circles the wagons to analyze and redirect...I'll just leave the folklore ballads to someone with a guitar and a bar gig.

[Translation] "Occasionally, rookies are blindsided by an NFL sanctioned drug test."

[Translation] "In college, players may not be confronted with a drug test or may be tested and not disciplined harshly. Some players learn quickly how drug testing and subsequent penalties differ from that imposed upon them at the college level."

[Translation] "Certain players do not adapt to the transition though. They may not make the transition for some time--as seen by the number of veteran players often assigned to the NFL drug intervention program."

I've got a good handle on Jerryspeak after years of comprehending exactly whatever the heck he means. It gives me headaches anyway. My suggestion for anyone who doesn't get what he says? Don't even try to understand it.

I see you discovered Boozle Translate.

This is Regarding Randy Gregory. Go to Hardline and go to 43:25 in to hear Jerry's quotes on Randy Gregory, Mars, College, Earth and Guns. I'm providing the transcript starting on the part at 44:09

http://www.theunticket.com/ticket-shows-3-2-16/

"Sometimes coming in from college when you got immediate scrutiny, immediate, IMPROMPTATU, type testing...that's almost like being on Mars in college and you could, ah, ah, shoot somebody and they got a ticket and you got the United States and still thought you were on Mars, you can't shoot people and get a ticket.. in the, on the, on earth. Well picture that coming from college sometime immediately. Most of the people who are in the NFL program, are, they've been in the league or veterans, so to speak, not rookies, so its particularly a challenge."

Ummmmmmmm, what?

The sad thing is I understood exactly what Jerry was trying to convey/explain. Made perfect sense

Reading the transcript i'm not entirely sure what he was going for here. Listening to it you get what he's saying. Dubbing doesn't do emotive speakers justice.

Dude thanks for the transcript. I appreciate the effort but some positive feedback for you. To get the Jerry effect, you got to add the "ums" and lip smacking sounds. And somehow make it sound like you can tell his mouth is half full of saliva. But other than that you were awesome. Lol
