besides changing the coaches this is what i would do

trade a 5th for Roscoe Parrish

Match the offer from the Jets to keep MA

so you have RW, RP, MA, PC, JW, MB, and throw in our running game and sam hurd hes nice too

we could run a complete offense with the combination of speed. RW and JW over the middle and RP and MA stretching the field

we dont really need much from the draft but maybe backups
so i would use our 51 pic and add barbie to trade to get Houston's 46th pic and select
Michael Oher OT Ole Miss

i think we need to find a replacement for flozell in the future

what do you think

I'm surprised no one has responded to this post yet. Those sound like pretty good ideas as long as we acquire a nose tackle somewhere along the way.

This makes no sense and Michael Oher won't be there at 46, he won't even fall out of the first.

I like the way you think, not too sure about drafting OT tho...

If a good tackle falls to the 2nd round or even the top 20 plus of the 1st I pray we trade up. My guess is that Jerry feels he has enough invested in Flo to not do this.:(

Flozell is one of the most worrisome pieces of the team right now. He did have the issues of being one armed and playing beside a horrible LG a ton last year, but he was miserable and there seemed to be no hurry to even think of letting someone else play in his place. I was watching him at the Pro Bowl and he didn't look any better there. Of course that's just a meaningless exhibition, but he was being beaten like a redheaded stepchild at left and right tackle. At some point he's going to come apart at the seams on the job (maybe he already has) and I'm not so sure there's an in house replacement.

I agree.

While Flozell Adams is capable of bouncing back and having a solid season, I just wonder how much is left in the tank.

I know offensive linemen tend to have long careers, but paying top dollar for an over 30 tackle is just a risky proposition.

If the staff isn't yet sold on Doug Free's prospects as Flo's eventual replacement, the situation needs to be remedied if at all possible.

I think you could get a WR/KR with more potential than Parrish with the 5th rnd pick. It seems to be a very good crop of WR this year from what I can tell. I agree we need to draft an OT.

I'm not ready to call it a day on Flo. I just think we should start fining him every time he moves off-sides.

I like the idea of getting Parrish though. In fact I think we should be using more of our many picks to possibly pick up some already active players instead of drafting. Let's use some of those 5-7's to find some bubble players in need of a fresh start somewhere new. Just look at some of the vets the Patriots bring in yearly, and while doing so using mainly late round picks.

I think next offseason we are going to go after a big-money NT, but we still need to draft one relatively high this year.

Parrish wouldn't be a bad move, but guys like him come out every year in the draft. If he can be had for what we're hearing, he'd be a nice addition to a WR core of long striders.

You didn't mention safety, Sensabaugh just may step up and be the guy (esp since he's playing for a contract somewhere) - but we still need to get some depth and competition there as well.

So our team needs, IMHO are NT, ILB, SS, T, WR, and CB. A PR needs to get found in there, and we could get a little deeper at DE too.

This is an opportunity to capitalize on a lot of picks, and a stellar 2007 draft. This years draft can really put this team over the top, and make us a lot deeper and younger than we already are.

You didn't mention change HC, but I guess I'll have to wait for that.

I'd love to get Oher was Flozell's eventual replacement but we'd have to trade up in to the 1st round to get him.

why? he is a mediocre WR who's best trait is punt return skills...we can draft that

I hope they keep Austin, but not at ANY cost. Hopefully the Jets wont even make an offer.

I guess you havent noticed, but Parrish never "stretches" the field. He barely averages 10yds a catch for his career

I doubt Oher lasts anywhere near that long.

It might be Free, doubtful I know. Otherwise thats the only thing in your post I agree with. Tackle is definitely much more of a concern than interior OL, in spite of what so many on here post over and over again.

he hasnt had a decent qb..

a good qb makes its WR's look good... like tom brady
