so how is it Lee Evans seems to look pretty good there?

because he is a really good number 1 or number 2

we would just want roscoe to be a slot guy nothing more and i think hes more than capale of doing that with tony throwing it to him

We already have a slot guy who's EONS better as a WR than Parrish is, Patrick Crayton. And it isnt even remotely close.

Yeah, a poor one.

If all our current guys are healthy at WR, Parrish probably would have a hard time even making the team here. He certainly isnt better than RW or Crayton and Austin is clearly more gifted a player, and a big part of this teams plans for 2009.

Maybe he could edge out Hurd or Stanback for an active spot on game day, but all he is capable of being an upgrade for us here is as a punt returner. You'd be wasting another active spot on game day on a guy that does one thing.

I'd rather draft somebody then trade for Parrish, who has zero upside as a WR.

That's debatable. Patrick Crayton blows. The guy disappears for games at a time. He isn't that good and Parrish would take his spot in a second.

lol..how? I would say Crayton's overrated but he's not even rated. The dude got to play opposite Terrel Owens and Jason Witten and thrown to by a QB that is "EONS" better than trent Edwards and JP Losman combined. You won't even hear his name for 2-3 games at a time. He's the ultimate JAG disappearing in playoff games.

I'm not saying Roscoe is some legit superstar but he is sure better than Patrick Crayton if given the same chance. Plus he plays in 40 MPH winds and snow 6 times a year with a QB that can't throw it 50 yards on a bright and shiny day..let alone monster gusts.

Put Patrick Crayton on the Bills ..does he surpass 1000 yards recieving total for 4 years in that dump? I very much doubt it..Lee Evans puts up numbers because he's a legit reciever and he'll put up number anywhere he goes.

The guy gets open and makes 1st downs. Crayton is just creamed here by a few of you fickle people, but he does his job and is good at it. Is he a superstar? No, but he is a quality #2/3 guy. When you play in the same starting lineup as Owens and Witten and catch 50 balls for almost 700 yds and 7 tds, thats pretty damn good. He also gets good YAC.

More teams would take Crayton at WR than Parrish and definitely not think twice about it.

You and some others need to take off the hate blinders because of one game and see what his value really is here.

Blinders? lol people who are non-cowboy fans think Crayton sucks and thinks he's better than he is. I bet more teams take Parrish over Crayton because he can actually return kicks and be a game-changer. I would not lose any sleep if we lost Crayton and we'd lose nothing if he was gone.

We currently have 6 WR on the roster. Only one is a legit starting WR in the league and another a decent #3 (when game not on the line).

  • Williams, 6th year - the main issue is durability (health). He can perform when healthy.
  • Austin, 4th year - speed guy who showed some potential...but Dallas should take the 2nd if anyone signs him.
  • Crayton, 6th year - bigmouth guy who disappears in big games...#3 slot guy.
  • Hurd, 4th year possession type who has yet to do anything....
  • Stanback, 3rd year - this guy can't stay healthy for a month...reminds me of Skyler Green, except he is hurt all the time.
  • Wilson, 4th year guy....who? Tackling dummy for camp.
So Dallas needs to go back to the drawing board on the WR corps for the team. Very weak.

I have no issues with any of your ideas, they'd all work for me if they shook out that way, but I can't see a single situation that would have Oher sitting there at #46 for Dallas to move up and take him.
