When you can effectively run the ball. It doesn't have to be evenly split between run and pass. You just have to stick with the running game, be effective at it, and have patience.
Who knew.
I guess the truth hurts. All those who said that the running game is not important in the NFL. Watch the back tracking.

What truth? That running the ball effectively is better than not running it effectively?
Can you ask yourself how yourself is doing for me?

I mean, come on, Amber.. this thread was kind of calling for it.
I think the reason you didn't get any replies was because its fairly obvious that having an effective running game is a benefit to a football team. It really didn't need to be said, especially in a "i told ya'll so" kind of way.
There were quite a few folks here who said that this is a new NFL. One where passing is the way to go and that the running game is no longer as important. So yes, it did need posting.
There's a difference though, in saying that the running game isn't as important in today's NFL and saying its still a benefit to have an effective running game.
I agree with both statements, to be honest.
Its pretty apparent if you look around the league today, that there just isn't nearly as much of an emphasis on the run game as there used to be.
That being said, if you can run it effectively, its still a major bonus for your team.. its just not a necessity in order to have a great offense anymore.

Peterson is by far the best RB in NFL but the vikings are a joke and no one fears them.
Yea, and those teams that don't emphasize the running game suck. And don't give me some stupid stats on teams run vs pass plays. It's all about being effective. Sometimes that means running for 3 qtrs with a 2 ypc but still trying in the 4th.
