It is not that the team lost.........it is HOW the team lost.

The team was unprepared to play, WRs running wrong routes, linebackers not knowing who to cover, poor tacklling, no adjustments in protection scheme, false starts, offsides, personal fouls, ect....

THIS IS POOR COACHING, NOT THAT THE OTHER TEAM WAS BETTER!!!

That is why Wade should be fired, not becasue of the win/loss record but for how the team played.........they looked like they just wanted to go home, seriously.

That is why Wade or any other coach in this situation should be fired!!!

I have zero faith that the "new, tougher Wade" is going to correct all of this like a freaking light switch. The argument then is "if Wade can fix this, why didnt he do it during the season or at least before the last game"???

I agree. They looked so unprepared against the Eagles. There is no excuse for that. Especially against a division rival who you have already played this year, and twice last year. There should not have been any surprises to what the Eagles were going to do defensively.

Like when Det kicked our butt in the playoffs when Jimmy was here? I don't recall him getting fired nor do I recall him getting fired when Jacksonville put 60 points on the Dolphins when Jimmy was coaching. Yes that loss was an embarrasment and Wade as the coach should catch the blunt of the heat but unless you have only been watching football for a short time this is not the 1st time a team has had their butts handed to them

Wade Phillips isn't going anywhere. Very rarely does Jerry Jones emphatically state something and then go back on his word.

However, I agree that the main reason Wade Phillips should be fired is how the team lost.

His teams don't seem to play with a sense of urgency and Wade Phillips has already stated that his style didn't work and he will have to modify it.

Thus, he didn't even give himself a vote of confidence.

I still can't believe how the Defensive Captain, Bradie James chuckled at the thought of a "new tough and demanding" Wade Phillips and he did this right in front of Valley Ranch a day after being blown out 44-6.

The problem is that this was not a one-time incident for Wade.

The team has looked unprepared numerous times this year, not just in the last game against the Eagles. A blowout loss sometimes happens, but when it is repeated it then becomes a trend.

Dallas could have lost by 3 and the same voices around here would still be calling for his head as they have been since last year.

And here is an irony. The coaches of other teams being fired are not being dismissed for their players chronically being stupid and unmotivated. For the most part they are being fired simply for losing.

My issue's with Wade don't rest on just this one game. He is a good defensive cordinator, he is not a good head coach. All season long we had dumb penalties, dumb challenges, wrong routes and I could go on and on and on. I haven't missed a cowboy game since the first year direct tv came out with the NFL Ticket, before that I watched every game that was broadcast on local television and I have never been so disappointed in our team.

Anyone can see that this team is full of Stars, Potential, Playmakers, etc... But on the other hand, everyone should see that the Stars, Playmakers and what not do not play like it. We have to many non-team players, to many thugs and not enough players with some brains.

I think for the most part that this is a correctable problem but It's gonna take someone other than Wade Philips to do it. This team is in need of a Coach who the players may not like, but will respect and play for. We haven't had that since Jimmy Johnson. Bill Parcells was close but was a little to much.

I will always be a Cowboy fan, but I feel like we have wasted 2 seasons with Wade, and if he is back, I have no doubt that this team will fail once again.

I've played a lot of sports in my life, and now that I am older and have become a recreational player in the sports I play. I can honestly say NOW, not back then that the teams I played on were much better when you had a hard *** coach who demanded perfection. I did not like many of my coaches who were old school while I played, but we were the best teams in our leagues with them coaching.

Wade is dumb and that's why he should be fired.

Can someone explain why we kicked a freaking FG to make it 44-6 against the Eagles?

Really. Is 44-6 any less degrading than 44-3?

It was 4th and 15 from the 24 yard line and instead of just throwing it into the End Zone he sends out Nick Folk.

Dumb. Like that crappy 3 points was going to help ease the pain.

I would have been upset had we just lost to Philly. The way we lost however is a very strong statement about Wade.

A prepared team that loses by 3 or 4 is one thing. A totally unprepared team that loses by 38 in a win and in game is another.

the one thing that showed me it is over for Wade was the Punt play that Romo told the punt team to go back to the sideline.

Camera rolled to Wade, and I read his lips, with him saying "your not supposed to do that". Then he did nothing or say anything to Romo after that. Yea, we got a first down on that play, but it shows no one on the team respects the Head Coach, and he has lost the team.

I say Jerry needs to drive across the Red River to Norman OK, and bring some "fire in the belly" attitude down here.

IMHO.

That team was 2 years early.

Regrouped and still won SB one year early.

I saw it and heard Romo say it was a called play from the sidelines. Maybe your a great lip reader maybe not but I tend to go by what the people who are there have to say. Romo had no reason to lie to the media when asked about that play.

Morning to you as well. I understand when that took place I also understand how games can get out of hand quickly which leads to blowouts. Tony miscommunication with Roy Williams on the 1st pick, Tony gets stripped that lead to another TD then Barber getting stripped that lead to yet another. What we did to Buffalo in the SB in 92 is pretty much what happened us in Philly.

This team has had we "will collapse often" writen all over it for some time now. Whereas that team was going in right direction. We are in danger of going the wrong way. We are already. Wade and Cowboys next = .500 if we are lucky.

Of course he has a reason to lie. He's not going to publically admit he showed up his head coach.

Not saying he did or he didn't, but if he did there was no way Romo was going to kick up that ****storm by saying "Yeah, I thought Wade was being kind of a doofus there, so I kept the offense on the field."

Maybe your right. But try not to have selective memory. Recall at mid season when wade took over the D how dominant they became for about 5 straight weeks? That too was coaching.

Dallas was not forced to call a timeout so evidently there was not as much confusion or debate about Dallas going for it.
