Maybe your right. But try not to have selective memory. Recall at mid season when wade took over the D how dominant they became for about 5 straight weeks? That too was coaching.

Absolutely...which is why I hope we dont lose Wade... as DC

Like when Det kicked our butt in the playoffs when Jimmy was here? I don't recall him getting fired nor do I recall him getting fired when Jacksonville put 60 points on the Dolphins when Jimmy was coaching. Yes that loss was an embarrasment and Wade as the coach should catch the blunt of the heat but unless you have only been watching football for a short time this is not the 1st time a team has had their butts handed to them

In all fairness, the Detroit loss was in Detroit, it was 1991 and we were coming off a 7-9 record the year before, were just beginning to hit our stride and had had to win a playoff game on the road, in Chicago, the week before. And we were playing that game with our backup QB starting.

This team has had we "will collapse often" writen all over it for some time now. Whereas that team was going in right direction. We are in danger of going the wrong way. We are already. Wade and Cowboys next = .500 if we are lucky.

I don't think we will be under 500 I wish I had a crystal ball like you so that I could see how we will do next year but I don't. I do think this team will pick themselves up and move forward.

And crappy opponents.

Everyone we played after Wade took over was a bottom half of the league offense, including the Niners, Seahawks and Pitt who were ranked in the 20's. Baltimore beat us with a rookie QB and two horrible run-blitz calls by Wade.

The only good offenses we played were the Giants, who we played the week Plaxico shot himself and Jacobs was out, and the Eagles who creamed us.

I think Wade benefitted as much from the schedule as some magical turnaround.

No crystal ball here... I was gonna buy the 8-ball that was just retired though :laugh2:

I dont claim to know whats gonna happen... but I will tell you this...

Last year we were 13-3 when it should have been 10-6.... then BAM.... we finish 9-7 this year.

Get my point.

When did fairness ever matter around here? People have made absolute statements about how any coach would have been fired after a game like that and I showed that is BS not every owner or GM out there has fired a coach after a loss like Dallas suffered. To add to that you throw in the injury but anytime Dallas has suffered a loss with key injuries most will say injuries are no excuses. Hell this team has suffered through many injuries this season as well as in the Philly game I have not once used that as an excuse for how Dallas played. We got our butts handed to us

want me to bring the "Magic 8 Ball" back and ask it??

I call BS on Romo or whoever, that the 4th down play running the punt team, was called from the sideline. Wade had the headset on too

"your not supposed to do that"

Yup, get Wade the hell out of Town. I'm tired of MY TEAM being run by a bunch of Morons, and I'm tired of Jerry contantly doing a sales job on me, and overselling the team.

I think it's time for some Aussie rules football I tell ya!!

Name the best offense we played during that span.

Yea, but the two have to be comparable. We got blown out 44-6, the worst defeat in Cowboys history against an Eagles team, and turned the ball over on 5 consecutive possessions. The game was never a game from the very outset and the difference between the two teams, intensity wise, was tangible.

The Lions game was in the 2nd round of the playoffs, after having ALREADY WON A PLAYOFF GAME. The game just got out of hand as it went along.

The two games are not comparable.

Yes we played a harder schedule and had our starting QB out for few games that really cost us last year we were fairly lucky not having to deal with injuries. Granted that was not the only problem I think as this team hit some bumps in the road that there was some division taking place in the locker room how much that affected things I'm not sure

It was a blowout that is what was said plain and simple. You don't want to compare the 2 fine but it does not change the fact it was a blowout by the Lions in a game we looked like garbage that is the fact no and's if's or buts about it.

Wade Phillips is no Jimmy Johnson...its laughable that you would even compare the two.

What do you want me to say Dallas looked great vs. the Lions? We were never in that game and the players did not look very enthused that day either.

I saw it and heard Romo say it was a called play from the sidelines. Maybe your a great lip reader maybe not but I tend to go by what the people who are there have to say. Romo had no reason to lie to the media when asked about that play.

Go back and watch the tape Doomsday, it is right there, Fox shows a close up of wade and he CLEARLY says "he can't do that" then throws his hands down. It is crystal clear. I have no idea why Romo lied about it, I don't really care.
