This look suits them

I like the way a suit looks, and wish I could wear one often (because I look awful dressed down).

That being said, I am of the belief that all clothes should have utility, and a suit is about anti utility as one can get. A jacket that is cut with around the same look, a shirt, and a tie. Most of the items of a suit are purely aesthetic and provide little to no use.

The league should have made him wear a suit in team colours. He would have to wear either a white one or a red one.

The NFL has decided to grant the requests of 49ers coach Mike Nolan, right, and Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio, letting them wear suits and ties on the sidelines during their eight home games of the upcoming 2007 season.
That's a good compromise. Nice move, NFL.

Just like when I will tell you the cheque is in the mail, you will have no idea what I mean.

No. When it comes to money, I've learned it in all the languages I can.

I wish more coaches would do this. In fact I wish so many would that it wasn't only home games.

Call me old fashioned but I loved seeing Landry looking so dapper.

Exactly, you could always tell who was the Man in charge!

I wonder how long the two of them will keep their jackets on when it is really hot in September. Seems to me if you want to wear a suit, you should be prepared to sweat like a pig under it, no undoing the tie, no removal of jacket etc.

Even worse, wearing a short sleeve dress shirt under the jacket. How gauche.

Now would you look at that a quick Google search finds Lombardi both with an overcoat and without a jacket during a game. I guess as a proffessional they can choose how they wear the suit and whether they require extra insulation or have a need to remove the jacket. Damn I sure hope the NFL doesnt let these new fangled coaches make similar decisions that would just be crazy.

/sarcasm off
