This is not a Dak Prescott thread.

Want to talk about Dak Prescott?

Post in a Dak Prescott thread

If you get inside the 10 5 times and don't have anything open its probably on the play calling. Factor in all the flags too and yeah easy to pin a lot of the blame on the coaches.

I really didnt think the offensive line cost the team the game though.

This is not a Dak thread, this is not a defense thread. This is about the decision to “rest” 3 offensive lineman because of arrogance and stupidity.

This loss screams Jerry calling Mike and saying “well uhhh Mike uh we got this game in the bag, let’s uh rest anyone with a minor ding and uh Arizona is a lay up” and Mike in typical Dallas HC fashion decides to sit 3 OL starters.

Y’all can try and tell me they were actually hurt but I would bet the house that if this was the Eagles or Niners everyone plays. This is the culture in Dallas. And this is why it doesn’t matter what’s on the field as long as Jerry is in the owners suite above it.

I hope this serves as a wake up call but this team is as soft as charmin. I can’t believe they lost Diggs and this is how they came out. Flat, unprepared, and looking beyond the team in front of them. I can’t say I’m shocked. They do this all the time.
I get what you're saying, but when was the last time Dallas won a game while allowing 220 yards on the ground? That's a bad recipe and nothing to do with the OL.

How injured are/were the linemen? I don't know. No one here "knows", regardless of what we think.

As for the culture in Dallas, it starts and ends with Jerry and I share your frustration. Players know if they're in good with him that's all the matters. Good luck, coach.

I am sure as day he said as much, and MM likely agreed. Don't forget our QB also came out and said 1 team in the history of the NFL went undefeated....ie. this team was thinking undefeated after an amazing whole 2-0 start, not 14-0....sayd lots about the mindset about our leadership

This team has been sick, lame, and lazy since HC Wade Philips. What's changed?

yeah they would not sit if it was SF, or without jerry wanting it or approving it.
Mike just says yes jerry, then pulls out his check stub looks at it, and thinks yeah its worth it.

I doubt they ( the ol) are resting for the pats game.

Not addressing the OL during the draft was a big mistake however the OL was not the major concern yesterday. I think they actually did a decent job with 3 starters out and settled in the second half.

Defense was terrible, Dak was terrible, and the penalties were the main issues

We could of had those three starting OL and it probably wouldn't have mattered. We came out flat, got out coached, and our schemed

I think you're right, but I also think the OP is right too. They likely lose this game even with those o-linemen playing, but I believe this team just got outplayed and outcoached, and the result could have easily still been an L.

Are we going to pretend that teams don’t sit players who are dinged up across the league? This happens every week. It’s like some of you don’t pay attention to the league at large.
Show me a team that rests nearly their whole starting O-lineup in an NFL game. Tyron was dressed so that told me he could play. We looked at this as a throw-away easy victory game where the defense would dominate and now we are in a crisis situation because if we lose to the Pats, we could easily be 2 and 3 by the time the 49ers are done with us.

You’re making a ton of assumptions. That’s what fans do sometimes. That doesn’t mean those assumptions are correct.

Well, some can try to say that the OL was injured and that's why they sat out. But there's no way the coaching staff would have decided to set nearly the entire starting OL against the Eagles or 49ers in the situations were the same as it was leading up to the game vs the Cardinals. So them thinking that this was going to be an easy win and a win that the defense could win, is the most likely factor in why they sat 3 starters on the OL.
