This loss shows how bad the Cowboys coaching staff is especially on Offense

We paid more than 1/5 of our team cap on the two guys we needed most and they were both no shows for the game.

Hurts had 121 yards. Dak didn't play well, but it sure would've helped to have a ground game. Zeke has nothing left.

The 49ers defense was great until it was evident they were not going to get any help from the offense. They got uncharacteristically sloppy with penalties when they started trying to do too much.

It is so hard to draw conclusions from 1 game. But go back to the first Cowboys Eagles game. Look at the stats. Both teams were relatively healthy, except the Cowboys were missing Dak and Tyron, although I don't know that Tyron was really missed. The Eagles threw for 132 yards. They ran for 136. That's a total of 268 yards. The Cowboys defense was healthy and they did as well as expected against the Eagles. But our backup QB threw 3 INTs and we turned it over on downs at our own 32. That lead to 2 FGs and a TD and made a difference in the game. The Cowboys are right their with the top teams. They just need to correct the mistakes and have some luck with the injuries.

In that same game the Cowboys RBs ran for 125 yards on 24 carries. That is an average of over 5 yards per carry. Zeke averaged 6.2 y/c.

Sure the Eagles score 31 points against the 49ers. But remember the 49ers were called for 11 penalties and gave the ball up 3 times. Tell me if the 49ers did that in the game against Dallas and the Cowboys committed no turnovers, who wins that game? The Cowboys probably score 25-30 points too.

Sure we are disappointed that we did not advance and the Eagles did but if not for the injuries the Cowboys might be the ones advancing to the Super Bowl. We are close with this roster they just need to stop committing dumb mistakes, and they need to have better luck with the injuries. Hopefully Jerry sees this and does not dismantle the entire rosters when they are so close. This offseason they need to add, not subtract.

Embarassing that Dallas only managed to score 12 points on the 49ers. Sure the QB being down is an issue. but the 49ers are absolutely beatable and their defense can be run on . Dallas had neither on offense to take advantage. 12 points says it all.
On defense , there are issues as the 49ers offense is not a world beater.
The Cowboys offense was stymied because of one player- the quarterback. They would have won and put up plenty of points if even Cooper Rush had been playing.

Once the 9ers passing game was voided by injury, they became one dimensional. The Eagles didn't have to pass. They just used their excellent offensive line to beat the 9ers into submission.

This is similar to the Cowboys versus the 9ers in that once Pollard went down, the Cowboys became one dimensional. Now factor in the Cowboys offensive line had been decimated by injury. Steele and Martin were the bulldozers where the running game made their mark. Once Steele went down the running game was sketchy against better defensive fronts. The 9ers have a good front seven. Now subtract the running game and try and win with a WR corps of Cee Dee and a cast of misfits. Even Gallup Jake legged that pick and didn't put out any effort.

Once Dallas became one dimensional the 9ers could attack the passing game. Dallas was not equipped to win that game with Cee Dee Lamb solely.

Sometimes I wonder if fans here ever stop for a moment and actually think on what causes teams to fail when they do. Teams that win in January and February do so because they can limit the playmakers on the other side of the ball.

This has been a rinse/repeat in every play-off game Dallas has played for 27 years. And the reason is simple and evident for those who look.

Jerry and Stephen do not understand how to build a franchise who can perform at the higher level when the play-offs arrive.

What makes this situation more dire is:

The offensive line needs to be rebuilt. Tyron is now a liability. Steele will not be 100% until sometime in 2024. McGovern is the same player as Connor Williams. The only real difference is McGovern gets run over and Williams just held.

Rebuilding the WR corps is a must. The guys who would sit on the bench in Canadian football cannot be relied on here.

And Dallas needs to jettison Zeke, and Pollard. There is no pay raise for a guy with a broken leg. So replacing both running backs is on the list.

The defensive line needs an interior that stops the run. Period. Pass rush is great, but when a team gashes your team with the run, you won't play the Hooterville Mountain Oyster's every week. Therefore you need to prepare for the running game.

Dallas will need a quality linebacker and cornerback. Safety is still a position where Jerry Jones has zero understanding what that player does on the field.

If this doesn't cause you to fix a Zoloft, Paxil, Prozac cocktail to fight how dire this team is now, then good luck with your analyst.

Our offensive line managed 54 yards rushing for our rbs and Dak was in hurry up mode all game. Football is a trench game. That’s the only reason we didn’t score 30 points against San Fran
People also aren't addressing the clock-killing drives and how the 9ers dominated TOP in the 2nd half, which is why Dallas should stop receiving the ball in the first half.

Philly didn’t do anything today either. The TO’s and no QB did them in
It was surprising to see them put up 31 points on the 49’ers defense when nobody really had a great day on offense. I guess it just goes to show just how many weapons they have.

Only problem with your theory is you think Zeke is still as good as his rookie year.

We would have had to run it 50 times for him to get 100 yards....
I still can't get over why they didn't activate Ollison against the 9ers. Hendershot was an injury scratch, so that means you can bring 4 backs rather than 4 TEs...but we abaondoned the running game, which forced a one-dimensional offense and Dakota to try to beat the number defense in the league, which won't happen for any team 9 times out of 10. So, there we were, hands in our pockets while Mike wore a perpetual Dak in the headlights look on his face for the remainder of the game.

Well that gaffe before the half where Johnson just dropped the snap didn’t help. I mean I realize he was 4th strong but that dude sucks

Ealges Lines won that game. If Hurts plays the way he has the last two games he the Super bowl will be a blowout with the Chiefs winning by a lot.

They are the best defense in football and it was in SF.

Go back to sleep.

Their defense cant be run on with our Oline and Zeke.

It's not just the Coaching, This team also doesn't have true leaders on the field. Talent wins you games in the regular season. Leadership is needed in the playoffs. The fact that this team never kicks it up a notch and plays playoffs caliber football shows that the culture is rotten and there are no true leaders on the team.
I guess you missed the Bucs game. We definitely kicked it up a notch. Bucs with Brady had spanked us twice the last two years.

Plenty of leaders on the team. Problem is one of them is the horrid Zeke and we depend on him greatly for some reason.

On Daks first INT in SF it’s a duplicate of the Fuller pick 6 in Wash just opposite side of the field You want that kind of consistency in a QB .

49ers defense kept Philly collectively to 3.4 yards a carry and hurts was 15/28 for 130 yards. 49ers offense was the issue, the defense played well considering the circumstances
