This Packers Team is More Dangerous Than Many Think

Win or lose… I won’t be surprised in the least.
Yes, we could blow them out, and I wouldn't be surprised.

Or it could come down to a FG in the fourth quarter to win for either team, and I wouldn't be surprised.

If the Packers blow out the Cowboys at home, then THAT would be shocking, and heads will roll (beyond McCarthy LOL)

If the Cowboys come out slow, and lethargic, at home, in the playoffs, that wouldn't be surprising either.

It's the Cowboys. In the last 25 years, we've seen it all.

The Packers have been playing quite well the last 2 months, especially Jordan Love, so Quinn has to disrupt him early, with some disguised blitzes and press man coverage. Or let's see if Quinn plays it safe in the 1st quarter, and just tries to hold GB to FGs.

already building up your excuses. i love it
What excuse did I give lol? If Love and the Packers score 40 points and we win you will feel good about this defense? This shows what you are here for. Just for Dak to lose lol. You’re so far gone your hate for Dak has surpassed your love and fandom of the Cowboys and I hate that for you because it has to be miserable.

I've been listening to some of the media coverage on this game, and some of our fans have lost their minds. Obviously, not many have paid attention to our upcoming opponent.

I was listening to Bobby Belt recently, and he's out there embarrassing the Cowboys and giving the Packers motivation. Essentially, he asked Broaddus to tell him why he should have a healthy respect for Green Bay. In that episode, it almost sounds like Belt is both drunk and on crack. It's quite bizarre.

Even more bizarre are the comments, where people are dissing on Broaddus for not parroting his line. It's silly.

The first thing to remember is this Packers' team is young. So, they ought to have more stamina for the playoffs after a 17 game season. Also, their defensive pass rush is pretty good. They have one less sack than Dallas.

Add to that, four solid WRs, a pretty good OL, a solid run game, and a QB who has thrown 4 less TDs than Dak, and they suddenly appear to be quite the opponent, for an underdog.

We're talking about a team with all the pieces they actually need to win it. In fact, it's quite the opposite of what Belt says. Maybe Dallas shouldn't fear this team. But they should certainly respect them. They started out 2-5, then won 7 out of 10 of their last games.

I don't care who you are. That's impressive. We likely win, I think. But if we don't, we'll have suffered defeat from a formidable team and an actual contender.

If we lose, I expect to see lots of scapegoating and the typical ignorant reactions from our fanbase. This isn't the same team we played last year. They're even better, if you've actually cared to look at how they've played, recently.

What happened when they were 2-5 isn't really relevant when they've managed to win 7 of their last 10. If we're going off the last 10 games, which is how I judge how strong a team is going into the playoffs nowadays, the Packers are on the same level as Dallas. What gives us an advantage is having homefield for this game.

We'll see. Between the 105.3 clowns, aside from Broaddus, and Belt's new takes, I haven't really heard any honest assessments without bias and without hate or homerism, which is what I expect from the media. Thankfully, Broaddus has been around long enough he doesn't lose his mind and has actually been doing his homework lately, which I'm thankful for.

I suspect McCarthy has done his homework, cleaned up some of the details, and has this team dialed in. Even so, like I said, this team is no pushover. Truth be told.
I suspect this game will go like the 2 sat, start out a close contest, then in 2nd half the better team will pull out to a good lead and win.
But you never know which team that will be.

GB is better than most think, but today will be their chance to prove just that.
Dallas is at home, but they are due to lose one at home.

I picked dallas to win, but not real sure about it.

So much bravado by fans during the week and as game time approaches, I can’t wait to see the “we suck, we lost” posts after a 3 and out. While Jerry has JW running down his legs, the fans should be confident today. Very confident.

They're the youngest team in the league. Guess who's #2.
Big difference when the Cowboys have some experience at key positions. But, I get your point. I'm just saying, there's something to Love and his WRs being young. Like someone else said, they are playing with house money.

The reality is aside from the Aaron Jones factor every other matchup in this game favors the Cowboys. That's why it's hard for some people to give the Packers respect. But Jones, who I believe is a Dallas native, has always gone off against the Cowboys. He is the key to victory for them because I don't think their young receivers and young QB are a match for our defense and there is little or nothing about their defense that says they can stop our offense. They're bad against the run and only slightly above average against the pass. They need Aaron Jones to go for 150 and 3 TDs or they lost by 20. All that said. this is the playoffs and every team is dangerous. All it takes is one off day and you go home. THAT is something we as fan should respect.. I already know the players do.

Of course the Cowboys should respect them, and they probably do not matter what fans say. The Packers beat us last year when we should have won easily. In 2019 Aaron Jones ran for 4 TDs and had over 175 total yards. Maybe he is not the same player he was in 2019, but he is still a very capable back.

I think the Packers are going to run the football against Dallas, with Jones and then use play action to buy Love some time to throw. One thing the Cowboys have not been able to to consistently this year is stop the run AND pressure the QB. It has been either or for the most part.

I get they’re a young team but so is Dallas. There is a 4 month difference in average age between the 2 teams.

I agree. But fans don’t play the game. All the talking heads this week have been saying that Dallas should be concerned. Green Bay shouldn’t? If Dallas plays their game for 60 minutes this game will not be close.
Of course all that being true and that said that team the 1st 8 minutes of the Washington game was a little sketchy it was a little weird that's what I'm talking about we don't want this game to start like that because this isn't Washington but you could have games where it starts off all janky and you may write the ship and then it's gonna come down to the wire and that's not what we want.... So many crazy things happen in ball games like I already just said and I don't want that to be happening here we need to start off clean take control and then slowly expand the gap throughout the game but we cannot allow them to feel comfortable to get any confidence you know like in the Miami game I believe we could have won that game by 10 points but would we do after a 15 play Dr. fumble it at the goal line not only did we not get three points we didn't get 7 points that gave them confidence that changed the narrative of the entire game and then it was a dog fight the rest of the game we could never make up fully after that first drive even though we took a one point lead and our defense shipped the bed once again....

When you have a chance you must set the tone but we've seen just this year I'm going by just games that's happened lately we just can't have starts to these games like that...

We are twice as Dangerous .. we like to play it fast at home, ..and it gets scary for Packers if we get up
double digit leads,.. and we are not the Bears, Carolina or Arizona...

Let Packers themselves prove they can beat us on our very own home turf...Do not beat ourselves !
ala killer self-turnovers & penalties, very ouch- coaching.

Exactly. The Giants also beat the Eagles. They were in the playoffs just a year ago. So, they're not as bad as their record.. Good luck arguing that with some of our fanbase. But it is true, whether they recognize it or not.
yes the Giants were as bad as their record

The giants beat them!! If we lose, it will be embarrassing!!
And we beat them with a 3rd string QB no less. That MNF game still gives me chill bumps when I watch the final quarter over and over again.

Okay Cowboy fans, no talk of doubt…your team came in first and these guys barely got a wild card entry. Go out there and represent the NFC East and my Giants with pride. When in doubt, think this thought…The NY Giants beat these guys while my team twice destroyed those same Giants. Yes we can! And just like that, the demon of doubt will be gone!

Go Cowboys!

Is Watson playing? (Questionable with hammy) He concerns me more than any other packer.

The Packers are a dangerous team and I would say the Cowboys are not going to take the lightly. Being 0-7 against them and losing last year and the history of the 2016 and 2014 game only a fool would not be concerned. Dallas will be ready I just hope Dak plays well and everything else will fall into place.

Got to contain the Packers run game. The defense can not let Jones gash them or AJ Dillon physically wear out the Cowboys in the fourth quarter. Focus and clock management will be keys for Dallas to win.
