Video: This Paris Campbell Kid Can Actually Play

Campbell is enough of an athlete to make a few plays but overall the guy is a low lever WR.

Even his 2022 season that people are looking to he ran the 25th most routes in the league that year. So he was 25th in opportunities but still just 51st in yardage. This is the same red flag I’m telling people about Tolbert from this past season.

Yards per route ran is a stat that hasn’t caught on yet but will soon. Much better indicator of success than catches/yards/touchdowns alone.

You’re not alone. I liked what I saw from him when he was on the field, especially when he had a decent quarterback throwing the ball to him.
I have heard all the negative things about Campbell ,but he looked pretty good in the Indy film I just watched .Seems like a good person in interviews .

I was just having a discussion about WRs and cowboyny was talking about Paris Campbell having speed, which inspired me to go look at his tape. He looked solid for Indy. I don't think he played much in Philly. So I'm looking at his potential as opposed to his recent production. Good route runner. Plays well in traffic. Will take a hit. Slithery after the catch. Adds speed. To me, it looks like a sneaky good signing.

he can get open thats for sure. hope Dak can get him the ball.

Again, he has an extensive injury history. 3 years of season-ending injuries.

I'm OK with giving him a look.
This Paris Campbell supposedly can fly I would like to see him do well here for a couple of reasons .First I would like to see a good redemption story hope he has a good season this year without the injuries. The second reason is I would like to see him flourish here after not doing much with Philadelphia last season.I hope he is fast enough to take the top off the defense and help this running game be a success .

There's hundreds of guys over the years like him. Great RAS score (lol), has some plays every so often that tease you, fast, all that.

The problem is though, is that they can't play NFL Football good.

See.... it doesn't matter how fast, high high, how quick, how tall how strong, how big.... the MOST important skill you need, is being able to do NFL Football good. And he can't. Never has...year after year...and never will. Like hundreds before him.

Hey...that Mingo kid looks good too, right?

Hey...that Trey Lance sure is big and fast and has a strong and etc etc etc.

Looks like big bodied WR , who can show some physicality , we need that badly, all the best kiddo

He's had a lot of injuries, which has hampered his progress in the league. You can see he can play, if healthy.

All those missed games were injury-related.

I like the potential.

Colts fans talk about how he should have been utilized more in the slot.

We'll see, I guess..

One more drafted wide receiver and this off season and camp will be a quality competition that the remaining group will be quality. Not the usual 30 year calendar stuff being declared old and changed stuff.

"Looked solid in Indy"

18 catches his first year. 6 catches his second year. 10 catches his third year. Missed a bunch of games all 3 seasons.

Then in year 4 he broke out for 63 catches and 3 TDs at a whopping 9.9 yards a catch. Showcasing all that speed.

He's a roster filling stiff.
Good roster to be used.

It's interesting knowing Parris Campbell and KaVontae Turpin were both 2019 Combine participants, and both ran a 4.31 in their 40 times. Only difference is their height (Campbell: 6'0"; Turpin: 5'9"). Same speed and similar style of play. It will be interesting to have 2 types of "Turpins" on the field for our offense. I love their speed and quickness. Use them both at the same time.......it would create mismatches and help CeeDee from being double-teamed so much.

The Commander doesn't know JAG and with a Federal Conviction can't even enlist due to the UCMJ.

For the record here, this is the off season and the Scouts do know their crap.

and Jerry has an extensive history of selling us on guys who've been hurt/injury prone. The team has been there; done that with guys like these.
