But how do we know? It could have been a three-way fight on what to do, between make a pick, pick a certain guy and pick another guy.

What if it was Stephen vs. Jason, Vs. Scouts? and then Jerry decided on one?

Meant trade down the pick

call it an educated guess.

Looked pretty obvious to me.

If this is true then every scout needs to have there letters of resignation on Jerry Jones desk by Monday.

I think every one of them should hand in there resignation papers

Everything should look obvious to you because you can only see one reality, your own. Same with everyone else.

My gosh-it's like it's the first time there has ever been a disagreement over a draft pick between NFL people.

Talk about overblown.

That's the other side of the pancake. It's not the end of the world if there's not consensus on every draft pick. And just because the head coach wants a guy, the GM/owner doesn't have to provide him.

At the end of the day, I think the HC put the premium on the best player. The owner on his commitment to protect the QB with the last decent interior lineman available. Personally, I stay put and take the DL, but I understand the dilemma.

But, watching the war room cam, it was pretty obvious there was not consensus in that room. I actually don't mind that much seeing the HC and the head of scouting pushing back hard, though. It's reasonable to expect some disagreements in a situation like that.

This is too funny.

Want to know what really happened?

Seems that Ciskowski's scouts were scouting for Ryan's defense and did not adjust to the new scheme. So Ciskowski is yelling to stick with your board and Marinelli hated Floyd.

As much of a perfectionist as Garrett is he looked mad because of the scouts screw up.

It's definitely possible that the argument was about something other than the obvious. But the body language between Garrett and Jerry sure looked uncomfortable to me.

Where'd you get your info here, out of curiosity? I'm dubious about the 'scouting for Ryan's defense' part, just because it sounds pretty unbelievable on the surface.

It was reported late Thursday.

That Floyd did not fit the scheme and Marinelli shot it down.

I Imagine that since scouting falls under the GM Garrett was probably not very happy with Jerry either.

Ok. Interesting, anyway. Not sure if it makes me feel better, or worse about the whole thing, but, like i said, these things are going to happen during the drafts.

We will never know what really happened in there. Could be blown out of proportion or JJ and his junior controlled the draft with little input from Garrett.

All i know is Garrett flirted with JJ's daughter 80% of the time, he didn't look overly involved to me, especially after the third rd.

Her and her son had no place in the war-room, it was like a family reunion in there at Thanksgiving.

Pretty much anywhere you look online Frederick was the #1C so that right there makes this article or whatever it is stupid.

It sort of makes sense. All year Ryan was the DC and the scouts were probably looking for players that fit his defense. Then after the season all of a sudden Kiffen and Marinelli come in and the scouts could have been stuck in a 3-4 mindset since that is what we have been running the last 10 years. They may have looking at Floyd and think there is our new NT but Marinelli looks at the guy and thinks he doesn't really fit what he wants at the position so doesn't see him as a first round candidate.

In such a scenario, I'd have to go with the coach who has the chops that Marinelli has demonstrated in developing DLs. The man obviously knows a good DL for his system when he sees one as he has routinely found big-time producers outside of top 10 picks which certainly hasn't been the norm for most of the rest of the league.

If Marinelli thinks he doesn't need any DL this year I think we'd have to bow to his wishes as the man is a master of his craft. I happen to think he is incorrect at the very least due to age issues but maybe he just didn't like any of the DL available this year for whatever reason and thinks next year they can acquire someone better in the draft or FA.

Marinelli will definitely be under the microscope this year with his calling out a need for secondary and especially LBs but thinking the DL was fine as is.

But to no avail, he hates OL man and thinks they are lower than whale Sh _ _ and that the skilled players are all you need. Now that Romo has the big contract (Jerry thinks he does not need no stinking OL) the fate of the OL and and the Cowboy's record and super bowl chances are slim. I am still a Cowboy fan but Da _ _!:bang2:

PS
Predict 7-9 for year and last in division. Super bowl will have to wait until Jerry passes.:horse:

PS again
Jerry blows as GM

Now our new Center/Guard may turn out OK, but we got screwed in the trade. Looks like OL and DT (in a very good year to pick those) will always be a problem. Pretty boys rule in Dallas.

Oh well, there is always next year.:write::bang2::hammer:

At this point we had all better hope that Jerry and Son are right. I don't want another Randy Moss type rue-fest for the next ten years. Floyd needs to be a bust or at least show that he would not be a monster in a Kiffen type scheme.

Although if Frederick has a Greg Ellis type career that would be just fine.
