100% true but accolades and criticism do not coincide with that reality. All players on a team should be scrutinized for how well they executed their assignments to produce wins. Likewise, every player's efforts throughout a game should be examined and determine what they did not do to prevent a loss. The same principles apply for how well or poorly coaches apply their gameplans. Even so this common sense approach is more often not followed than followed.

I sure know Jimmy Johnson looked at what each player did !!!

Well, some will not read this and agree, I do agree with this.

However, some foolish people will counter that the QB is the most important position on the field so he should be able to win every time! Even if the defense sucks golf balls through a garden hose!

It's those simple minded people that either don't understand the concept of "team", have never played a team sport, or just downright have an agenda that is so transparent that you can see right through them...yet they deny that they dislike Romo.

And Romo looks good this year, this is the year of Romo !!!!!:yourock:

Luck choked against the Patriots last year - he didn't get it done - didn't elevate his team - nothing else matters - he lost.
Rodgers choked against Seattle last year - he didn't get it done - didn't elevate his team - nothing matters - he lost.
Wilson choked against the Partiots - he didn't get it done - didn't elevate his team - nothing else matters - he lost.

I don't think I've heard this one time the entire off season.

Well, aside from Luck, it will be said that it's because they won a SB...so it's not their fault. That's the kind of logic around here.

This stretch can help decide if Cowboys' Tony Romo jumps from good to great

ARLINGTON, Texas – In the suite area of AT&T Stadium, where the highest rollers perch to watch the Forbes-topping $4 billion Dallas Cowboys, there is an impossible-to-miss homage to Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman.

It comes in an almost floor-to-ceiling photo, featuring team owner Jerry Jones locked in an intimate conversation with Aikman in the Dallas locker room. The eye-to-eye photo feels dramatic, with Aikman tucking in his pristine white jersey while Jones talks and holds his hands as if he's going over a last-minute detail. It's one of many images of past glories that orbit the stadium, an oval path walled in with championship memories. Designed to elicit emotions in visitors, it also delivers a message.

Tony Romo was quite popular in Dallas after beating the Giants in Week 1.

In this franchise, January matters. February matters. And greatness in the midst of adversity? Well, that's how Aikman earned his place on the wall. More than anything, that's why the next four weeks could be a critical mass that helps determine how Tony Romo's career is celebrated. No Dez Bryant. DeMarco Murray long gone. Romo is 35 years old, in a potential Super Bowl season, and approaching the back end of his prime. This, right here, is his time to separate himself. For the next month, he'll basically be tasked with being Tom Brady -- expected to prove that he can be a kingmaker no matter what offensive pieces are placed around him...

As far as I am concerned, that was an epic read.

yep

Had Romo thrown that INT at the end of the SB, even if Garrett said it was his call, people would still be talking about.

Wilson does it and no one says anything.

Yeah...I will never understand that. Roy was supposed to be a great receiver.

Romo must have ruined him....it has to be Romo's fault!

Romo didn't "ruin" him. To their credit they had pretty good chemistry in the red zone. That was about it.

Yeah, he couldn't play.
Before or after the 1,000 yard seasons? But isn't that what's being argued? Romo can make anyone a great receiver?

He couldn't make you or me one. Williams couldn't play when he got to the Cowboys. Not sure what went wrong with him. I think he was coming off an injury and never was the same afterwards for whatever reason.

I've never heard the injury thing but I'm not blaming Romo for Roy underachieving here. That was all on Roy. Just found it odd Romo had success with the Laurent Robinsons of the world and the Patrick Craytons of the world.

Didn't the last two touchdown drives against the Giants show that? Or are we supposed to overlook that and just focus on what he does after showing his greatness in that game?

Tony Romo's stats when Crayton and Williams were starters

4 TDs with 4 INTs. 3 of those TDs came in the 2009 season opener, he then went the next 3 games with only 1 TD and 4 INTs. After that, that's when Austin emerged and became our #1.

This is NOT a knock on Romo. This is me simply stating, you need talent at the WR position. Even Tom Brady in 2013 struggled due to lack of talent at the position.

My response was sarcasm since we have JOKERS on here that blame Romo for everything with the Cowboys. So, I was just pitching in!
