This super bowl proved one thing

It also proved that defense wins games in the playoffs......always has and always will with the rare exception.

The same applies to MLB(pitching and defense) and the NBA(defense). Occasionally, there is that team that stops the trend but it is far and few between.

yea...that's a true statement.

as good as peyton and eli are...you put pressure on them they are worthless...

ehhh...eli has 2 superbowl wins...and those were wire to wire type of wins...other than that eli's play can be pretty bad haha

I think what the Superbowl proved more than anything is that finding the right personal and coaches, the right combination top to bottom--or as close as possible--is the most important thing. The Seahawks have talent but they have a level of chemistry and cohesion on both sides of the ball that no other team in the NFL has right now. Carroll goes after emotional guys who want to be football players and he lets them play. He nurtures relationships among his players and between himself, his players and his management. Seattle is a football team first and a marketing entity last. These are the biggest difference between most of the NFL, not just the Cowboys, and the Seahawks.

It also proved that QB's don't win anything on their own. Teams win.

Funny you say this because leading up to this game and pretty much the whole season, I was under the impression Peyton was the only player that suited up for Denver.

Glad Denver lost. Even better, they got humiliated from the gun. Seattle led for 59:48. Denver did not score until a garbage TD down by 36.

Can't stand the Mannings at all.

statistics don't mean a damn thing.

peyton set all time records this year...but looked like a rookie out there.

Statistics mean something to me . Speak for yourself . emmitts 18000 yards mean a lot to me .

If defense wins championships we mine as well get rid of Romo, stop complaining about the O line and start drafting defense.

I wonder how the def would have looked missing about ~5-7 of their best players from the opening day line up... And another handful of key back ups.
