This team doesn't know how to use Dez

They want Dez to be Julio and Dez has no ability to get separation, but only catch contested throws. There's no problem with it (if utilized right,) but Beaz/Switzer need to be the players that get the focus that can catch a clean ball with space.

Blast me all you want, but this guy's only "electric" when one on one inside the 10 yard line.

Dez was fine here towards the end of last season. Him and Dak had chemistry....its funny how you guys forget that. Or forget how good they were in that Packers game.....I guess facing a top 5 defense two weeks in a row will cloud your judgment.

If Dak hits Dez on most of his throws people would complain less.

The dude had to go against Janoris Jenkins, Eli Apple, DRC, Chris Harris, Aqib Talib and Bradley Roby. Guess what! Patrick Peterson next week. Tough sledding

The games where Dak tries to get Dez involved are the ones he struggles in, rather than pass to whoever is open. Seemed like he didn't even look at Butler or Williams very often, just Dez and Witten

I don't think it's that. I think you can clearly see a deterioration of his talent

Dez was good to come down the those 50-50
Balls.

Now it's like he doesn't get any of them.

How much longer are we going to talk about Dez vs the Packers CB5 Gunter in that playoff game? He was a UDFA pressed into service due to injuries.

When was the last time Dez went off against a good CB?

I am starting to worry that the days of Dez holding his own vs top-tier CBs are over. He just can't seem to separate.

I know. I get that. But Julio, Jordy, Brown, Odell, etc. go up against #1's all the time and get double teamed. They find a way. It's either Dez isn't what he's supposed to be (elite,) or that Linehan uses him wrong.

They use him wrong plain and simple. He is best of slants and quick routes. Every time they throw him the rock it's a back shoulder, jump ball or in triple coverage

The officials don't see Dez as an elite receiver. Elite receivers get the benefit of the doubt on calls. Dez gets mugged every week, usually with no call.

It was more than the Packers game. I'm not talking about Dez....I'm talking about Dak and Dez connection. Both of them. It got better towards last year. Its been good this offseason. Its been good at training camp. Its not good right now. I can't explain in it. You guys say he's no longer who he once was but a month ago you guys were saying he looks the best he's looked in years.

I don't think it's that. I think you can clearly see a deterioration of his talent

I don't see it. Jenkins and Talib are top 10 corners in this league. Dez has a always had problems with those guys that are physical and bigger. He doesn't get separation. Never has.

Half the teams in the league have corners that are as good as these guys. Week 4 hell be going against Trumaine Johnson.

That's another thing. If our corners were allowed to play like the refs let our opposing teams play.....we'd have a much better defense.

I have to agree with you. It's hard for me to fault Dez if we have 7-year still a coach in training at the helm.
