But they do want to keep him and will pay the 9.5m this year or extend him which was the point.
He was an anomaly who would be making far more money if his agent was not a dolt who didn't fax in signed paperwork.

Who said it was "impossible to sign a quality free agent under 29"??
I simply said that costs A LOT of money for DL when it is possible and Dallas doesn't have a LOT of money.

Whats more hilarious is your plan is using Carr as a contract parameter.
Like extremes much?

Bottom line is your plan is dependant upon miracles happening instead of intelligent planning or rational thinking.
Which is why every off-season you'll be wholly disappointed.

Who was the last under 30 DL FA we signed(not resigned) to more than league minimums? The Russian kid?
Been a while for sure.

You know this cap stuff as well as anyone who posts here. I wholeheartedly appreciate that. But you steer us in over the moon directions by being insanely rosy with cap projections and off-season plans. Not much different than the draft guys who have us taking four 1st round rated DL in one draft.

The DL with the agent that didn't fax in the paper work was Elvis Dumerville, not Cliff Avril.

Carr is not the only extreme contact that Jerry has given out.

My plan is based on cutting Ware, which I think the majority of us don't really believe that Jerry will do. It's not that extreme to believe that if they cut out a 12.25M salary that they could sign expensive free agents. It's not as is I said they would keep Ware and sign free agents.

Here is my draft model.

1. BPA
2.BPA
3.BPA
4.BPA
5.BPA
6>BPA
7.BPA

BPA(best player available)

I am probably in the minority but this only works to a certain extent. I would rather fill holes if we are strong at another position where the BPA is.
