This Team is Delusional

Only the Cowboys can feel empowered after winning a game in which their only real obstacle was themselves. They won despite how difficult the game was, but the only reason the game was difficult is because they played so bad. Kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy, if you ask me.


The defense can go home happy. The offense should shoot themselves

After watching the post game interviews I can't help but think this team really feels accomplished after this game. Almost a we overcame the impossible type of attitude. Wow!

Maybe we as fans could switch places with them and let them watch us get the crap kicked out of us. Then we could sit there after the game talking about our accomplishments.

It really amazes me how the win will over shadow all the mistakes and poor play.

Do you remember the season Romo got knocked out? I think two seasons ago? Yeah, we had several wins like this and when anyone tried to point out "hey you won but things did not look good" the players got all pissy and started with "hey a win is a win" bs, and basically completely ignored any problems from the game. Of course that season went down in flames just like this one will because this team is as dumb as dirt and overall couldn't care less what their final record is as long as they get paid.

Like another poster said, the defense has every right to brag. Romo, Lee, Cook, Garrett and Jones all said they need to play better. In the locker room Garrett said they have a long, long, long way to go. I don't think they are missing the fact that the defense saved the offense this game. The offense just looks like they are still in training camp.

they won the game. that's a huge accomplishment. Jaws says it all the time. its not easy to win in this league. so you take hte ugly ones with the good ones. and this was ugly, yet we came out winner.

however everyone's expectatoins are that we are sweet as clock work, humm like a ferrari and just destroy everyone. yet, that's not reality. there are going to be ugly games like this.

and its about our OL. I knew this coming into the season. and expected it. why? because we spent draft picks and dollars to shore up a defense.

else, we would have spent money on OL and draft OL men and shore up the offense, yet the defense would have been giving up 30+ points a game. and you and those like you who just like to scream about something would be here saying why did we ignore the defense. how could yu win championships without defense and blah blah blah blah.

I bet you walk to school in 8.5 feet of snow, against the wind and up hill, both ways!!!!

I don't think they just plainly ignored the problem. we had lots of problems and with limited dollars and draft picks, we chose to address some of it, based on what was available.

if we don't spend money and picks on DBs and defense, and spend it on offense, then everyone would be pissing and moaning about defense sucking and why did we ignore it.

So they shouldn't be happy about a win? I don't think anybody on this team, particularly on offense, thinks they did an awesome job and that it was a cake walk. They recognized it was ugly and they also have recognized that they need to get better. But of course they're going to be happy about being 2-1 as opposed to being 1-2. There's nothing delusional about that.

You're right, it's definitely not easy to win in the NFL. Especially when you're trying as hard as you can to lose, like the Boys did yesterday.

It's not easy to walk when you shoot yourself in the foot, but if you manage to do it, that's not something to be proud of. You still shot yourself in the foot.
